We've had 3 years of Steve Bruce FFS! This is like every Christmas and Birthday rolled into one
-
All the players at the Euros were raving about his sessions and he's very highly rated so I doubt he is a shit coach, but tactically he's useless and he's clearly not a manager. His stock has fallen a bit over the past few months but i'm ok with him staying as long as he isn't thrust upon the new manager.

4 time winner of the Europa League doesn't wow you?! Tough crowd!

The whole thing of 'never go back' shouldn't apply to Rafa. Most times a club parts with a manager it's because they've reached the end of the road, a natural point at which the manger can't take the club any further. In our case it was an ambitious Rafa heavily invested in us and our future and desperate to build us into something formidable, and a bellend owner making one of the most ridiculous decisions of the PL era in forcing him out. There is genuine unfinished business here for Rafa and he was only just getting started. It's a perfect, natural fit and a total no-brainer if he was available. Keegan on the other hand, just no!

Sadly I think that was Southgate's doing
-
Where has the Emery talk come from? I haven't seen anything in the media
-
I'm struggling to think why you ever stopped?
-
London-based club Foreign manager who's not drinking pals with the media Nope!
-
After reading that Chronicle article and the quotes from the consortium, I think Lampard can be ruled out. If after all of their due diligence they opt for Lampard, their process has been an enormous waste of time. They're clearly after a top manager

I'd still like us to go for Potter. He's just a class act.

That's the team we should be fielding all the time, not just against Brighton. It's obviously our strongest lineup. To include Clark, Krafth, Ritchie and Fraser in a first team when you have that lineup available to you points to one thing - incompetence. That lineup easily switches to a back 5, with Dummett in, Joelinton benched and Willock pushed into the #10 role. Bring in a competent manager and I fully expect that's what we'll see from week 1 onwards.
-
We could have Pep in the dugout, we're still getting battered by Chelsea. It's a formality, so it makes no difference if we have a new manager in place now or afterwards
-
You buy the club and the sale gets pushed through quicker than expected once the hurdle was removed, catching you on the fly Your no.1 target is now in another job - the guy you would've hired quickly if he was available You don't yet know the hierarchy of the board You need to figure out whether to bring in a short term manager to get you out of trouble and then a more long term appointment or if they can be the same person You need to get footballing advisers in place to help you through the first few months, but they may already be in work because the sale got pushed through so quickly You want a D.O.F in place to be part of the process of hiring a manager It could be any number of things FFS. They're trying to restructure an entire company that has been run into the ground for the past 14 and you want them to rush the most important decision?! Get a grip!

Go all out for Lamptey from Brighton as well. I've grown to quite like Manquillo but we need a serious upgrade.
-
Absolute no brainer! He's about as obvious a signing as we could make and would improve us immeasurably.
-
Sounds like Marvelous Nakamba's agent has been a busy boy
-
Tomori would be a nice addition - league experience, killing it in Serie A, shouldn't be too expensive (relative to PL-based players) and only 23. Pair him with Koulibaly and we're starting to look FM-tastic

The abuse on social media is often unacceptable, but the world is full of idiots and they have a platform to voice their opinions in awful, unfiltered ways. The chants in the stadium are absolutely acceptable - fans have a right to protest because they pay their money and watch his shite. It doesn't spill into personal insults, it focuses on a very well paid man, ill-suited to his position, doing a terrible job. If Bruce didn't want to see the vile abuse on social media and forums, he could've just come off them. Don't CHOOSE to look at the insults and ramblings of morons and then claim it's affecting your mental health FFS. That's like putting your hand in a fire and complaining that you got burnt.

The Ox would be great but he needs to prove he's past all of his injuries. If Liverpool's medical team can't get him fit, I doubt our two guys in a squash court are going to do any better.
-
If reports that they want a short term appointment are correct, someone like Wenger might not be that unrealistic. He won't want a long term project but he'd be a very safe pair of hands to take us through to the summer and would be a great football advisor for the new board as well
-
A convincing win today, with a significantly changed line-up and a different formation would be the final fitting nail in Steve Bruce's managerial coffin.

It's a very easy argument if you bother to do any research into the facts, which sadly most pundits and journalists don't. They should all be made to watch that video from start to finish before they think about spouting any more of their error-riddled shite
