I just wish they would either back him or sack him, the silence and speculation helps no one. For a club that said they were going to be more open and transparent, they are still really bad at releasing statements.

Pearson at least has experience in dragging a team out of the relegation zone. I'm not sure Moyes or any of the other names mentioned could do it. The problem is Pearson physically drags the team out...

I maintain that we find a reputable out-of-work manager who has confidence in his own ability, and we ask them how much money in return for keeping us up. We get a new manager boost, hopefully with a bit of freedom and 'reigns loosened', they get into the shop window if they're looking for work and whatever we have to pay, is nothing compared to what we will lose if we drop into the Championship. McClaren is one of those managers that is scared of teams like Stoke, "tough place to go" and all that. That, and he's had a long to time to perfect his tactics, so expect a few dodgy decisions and a couple win for Stoke. Almost predictable.

The prosecution claim he deliberately delayed entering a guilty plea, the defence are essentially trying to blame to the club by the sounds of it.
