Tried to defend him in the past but he really is fucking shit.
-
Spent the last 20 minutes playing like we're 3-1 up, rather than 3-1 down. Even if there was a way to keep us up, they just don't fucking want to.
-
Four years to the day since *that* goal.
-
I prefer Laurent Robert - he could do more of a job for us. Sent from 2002 using carrier pigeon.
-
We'd literally have closed the forum about ten years ago if we'd stopped debating things unlikely to happen
-
I've somehow got it going to the last day, with Spurs needing a win to steal the title and us needing a win to stay up and relegate Palace
-
Us potentially being nine points off safety is the best thing for us?
-
Unfortunately, we need Norwich to lose against Palace to stand any chance of staying up. That and we need to beat Southampton, Swansea, Palace and Man City
-
Absolutely this, said it all along. That makes no sense either. His primary aim is premier league exposure - he'd just keep us if successful, he just can't be arsed to do the necessary legwork. I agree he wouldn't sell it quickly as he's a stubborn arsehole but if we're down there long term is that attitude going to persist? I don't know how you can be so sure either way. So much of the motivation relies on being in the big time. Put it this way, if he wants £400m* then Mike Ashley is the kind of person that will still want £400m after a couple of years in the Championship (in fact, he will probably want more as we will get less income down there). He won't flog us on the cheap, he just won't - otherwise he would have done that by now. *for the sake of argument, not saying that he does.
-
I don't think getting relegated will make him more likely to sell at all. To be honest, it will make it harder. He has his price and that won't change - who is going to pay such a phenomenal amount for a has-been failing Championship club? We have to be succeeding for him to sell. Which makes his decisions even more bizarre.
-
We are sinking too deep for him to be able to pull us out. He'll get blamed by some idiots for us going down and will probably walk away as a result, which I wouldn't blame him for.
-
10. We needed at least four points from that run in. We got one. Bye bye.
-
It's basically it a "I think we're going down and when we do, there isn't any money to rebuild so don't expect any. PS it's not my fault"
-
The fact he is giving this interview now, shows how little he cares about the club. What a stupid fucking time to start speaking.
-
Does that include West Brom, Man City, West Ham, Southampton, Man United, Everton, Arsenal, Swansea, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Stoke, Sunderland and Villa?
-
The earliest he's came on was 70 minutes and we were already 4-0 down at that point.
-
ah right, well that's that f***ed then I thought U21s didn't need to be registered?
-
We looked a much better team last night, but I fear it might have come too little too late. We looked up for the fight in the second half especially, but we still look absolutely toothless in front of goal. If we beat the Mackems and Norwich then I think we'll stay up, but the remaining home games are incredibly vital.
-
Sunday is vital. Lose the next two and we're as good as done IMO. Win the next two and I think we'll go on to stay up. Mighty fine margins.
-
Doesn't bother me. It's such a massive cliché when it comes us, pointless even mentioning it. But he's probably the first one since SBR who is capable of doing it!
-
Spent the whole interview thinking 'This guy is our manager!!'. Unreal. I know he's focussed on saving us but he didn't mention trophies
-
I imagine it'll be tomorrow morning, now.
