Brentford 0 - 2 Newcastle United (26/02/2022)

Fantastic 3 points. 2 points ahead of Brentford with 2 games in hand seems mental. They were miles ahead of us at Christmas. Howe has been absolutely brilliant, even though they were down to ten men after 10 minutes I still divnt think we'd have won under the cabbage -

He actually gave a freekick to Brentford until VAR intervened -

Cant find a decent link so hoyed Soccer Saturday on. Merson doing our match and says Mike Dean if he had any common sense would give a yellow but he hasn't got any and gives a red. Stelling saying its an awful tackle and should definitely be a red. Edit - Just seen it, fucking leg breaker 100% red card. Merson is the twat with no common sense -
Still worry about our tough fixtures in April and get slightly worried. Think if we beat Brentford it'll be a huge result for both teams. As an aside, these midweek games were rearranged matches from December postponements. Why couldn't we have played Everton or Southampton as both have a free week. Can teams not play 3 away games in a row or something?

Works both ways, we are also greatful he has went to a decent club in the lower league who will look after and develop him nicely. I trust Joey Barton to look after him. We've had so many promising players who have went out on loan and done absolutely nothing (Matty Longstaff, Sorensen, etc). Also Never heard Bristol Rovers as 'The Gas'. Watched the highlights above and can hear your fans chanting Gas. Also your forum is called The Gas. Always thought of you as 'The Pirates' -
Sorry meant WBA fans!
-
Absolutely pathetic appointment which shows how much influence the media have in brainwashing people into thinking he is any good. The fact WBA had the fucking cheek to blame us makes it even sweeter
-
Think you mean Man Utd, Leicester and Spurs Everton have Man City next week then Spurs and Wolves. Very tricky
-
Just noticed Brentford have played 2 more games then everyone else as well. Beat them next week and we will go 1 point above them with 2 games in hand
-
While Burnley winning and Watford winning is extremely irritating I think Everton, Leeds and Brentford's arse will be twitching more than ours. We'll pick up more points than Leeds, Everton and Brentford between now and the end of the season
-
Not seen this incident either but I remember VAR gave a red card for West Ham against Chelsea and West Ham appealed after the match as it was a bollocks decision and won the appeal
-
Agreed. Think its actually getting boring watching City as they just dominate matches too much, not their fault of course but its definitely losing its appeal when they just hammer everyone. Only team I can see stopping them in the Champions League is Liverpool Edit - Now 4-0 up away and not even half time in a champions league knockout its clinical as fuck like
-
Seen this asked several times and still not seen an answer yet So who we think will fill in at Right back as Ritchie out long term. Krafth?
-
Thanks for the offer man really appreciate the thought. I was going to go with a mate of mine and we've agreed to find a pub in town to watch instead. No doubt you'll easily flog a spare though ?

Tickets went on general sale for Brighton at 10.00am. By the time got through the queue at 10.20am the match has been sold out. Going to be nearly impossible to get tickets on general sale now like
-
Got the first part right. Seen someone on there say we should have kept Andy Carroll for nowt as he couldn't do any worse. Tend to agree (I really hope I look back and see how wrong I am)
-
Thought owt below the shoulder was classed as hand ball? Was expecting it to be disallowed
-
Aye Souness brilliant there. Fucking Carragher sticking up for Zouma. What actually happened? Zouma was in starting XI but now pulled out of squad during warm up? Hope he got abused to fuck by the fans
-
Said in the match thread but I will say it again in here. We have picked up 10 points from the last 4 games compared to 11 points from first 19 games. Eddie Howe deserves great credit for turning this shitshow around

10 points from last 4 games is mental considering we only had 11 points from first 19 games. Well done Eddie Howe on turning this shitshow around (Still not sure about that VAR decision, thought he was onside) -
