Probably the best right back I have seen play for us (and we have had some good ones when you think about it) lad is a leader, a role model and seems to have a genuine affection and affinity for the club and area. Get behind him. Doesnt mean he isn’t droppable if out of form or exhausted etc. Hope he knows the vast majority of us appreciate him and are with him during this little bit of a hiccup. From what I have heard via family contacts, Phillips is getting interest from Juve.

We are on course to build something. We just aren’t quite there yet. Need to learn some nous at this level which will come. A couple of signings away in each win from being a much stronger and more resilient team/club. We have come a very long way in a very short space of time already. One awful decision against us, couple of sitters/good chances spurned otherwise it could have been different. We have to be proud of that after where we were under MA and his lickspittle. Disappointed with the end result for the club, believe we deserved better, but that’s not to detract from the positives. Howay the lads

Don’t disagree absolutely tedious but I just have a feeling re Man Utd. they look awful at times but just nagging away with wins at right time. Genuinely would prefer you to be in too 4 (not one of those who harbour resentment over that game years ago and our relegation) but can just smell a top four that rankles. Hopefully both clubs continue on our upward curve and challenge properly in next few seasons ?

Not so much about top four for me ( which I think is beyond us) and more about ensuring we have some form of European competition next season. Finishing top 7 would be a real positive, especially how bad we have been hit by injuries this season and the resurgence of a couple of other teams. Personally think top four will be Liverpool, Arsenal, City and Man Utd. Then it’s Spurs, Villa and us for next three slots with Brighton in the mix. Next season is a different matter once we can strengthen again though. Probably a bit more expectation and pressure too? But I think the competition is pretty obvious over next few seasons with a few clubs ahead of us already so it’s gonna be a tough one to call as to who gets those 4 spots from about 6/7 strong clubs. (This years CL has been a major bonus to benchmark etc and also enjoyable let’s not forget! But way ahead of schedule as we have said multiple times) Onwards and upwards…

Love it that they are all rattled. It shows they are worried. The gall of some of the 'fans' of the traditional big clubs to be moaning about decisions going against them or seemingly against them, whilst having been so protected and favoured for years is a hoot.
