Heart says we can get a point, head says 3-1 defeat incoming. -

Our midfield is porous and (obvious statement incoming: way too similar) This season cannot end soon enough to hopefully sort that particular issue out. -

Watching The Match revisited on ITV4 cracking Villa v Arsenal match on. What a side this Villa team was!

Would be fun. Pity Hendo is out of the running for player manager, now that would have been glorious.

Love fest in full throws. bbc weather report started with “there may be a temporary black cloud over Liverpool”… ffs

I smell cheesy chips and peas.

Yeah I thought I noticed him almost pulling up second half with hamstring. Seemed to stop a chase back abruptly. Lad is top, top class and when 100% fit he will be immense.
-
Don't deserve that tbh.

Everton supporting friend from work thinks he is over rated

Liverpool vs. Newcastle United: 1/1/24 @ 20:00 (Sky Sports)

Can’t see anything but a “bend over and take a spanking”. Obviously hoping for a miracle but can’t see how or why that would occur. 5/6-0 for me. -
And from what I have read that’s what seems to be a bit of a consensus viewpoint. IF all games were lost (including a potential humping from Liverpool) then it may well be he will be sacked. From what I have read NO ONE on here wants that or is calling for it. The manner of performances, coupled with results recently will have worried the owners though. Let’s hope for a massive response from the team over next couple of games then January strengthening in whatever way possible.

Sadly think if we lose heavily to Liverpool then he will be on the brink. Loss to the mackems will do it.

Probably the best right back I have seen play for us (and we have had some good ones when you think about it) lad is a leader, a role model and seems to have a genuine affection and affinity for the club and area. Get behind him. Doesnt mean he isn’t droppable if out of form or exhausted etc. Hope he knows the vast majority of us appreciate him and are with him during this little bit of a hiccup. Howay the lads

From what I have heard via family contacts, Phillips is getting interest from Juve.

We are on course to build something. We just aren’t quite there yet. Need to learn some nous at this level which will come. A couple of signings away in each win from being a much stronger and more resilient team/club. We have come a very long way in a very short space of time already. One awful decision against us, couple of sitters/good chances spurned otherwise it could have been different. We have to be proud of that after where we were under MA and his lickspittle. Disappointed with the end result for the club, believe we deserved better, but that’s not to detract from the positives. Howay the lads
