Steven Taylor is the main stay for me. He has his faults, and his constant pointing almost put me off him (he seems to have cut that out quite a bit) but he is a devoted lad. Others come and go of course, how can you not love Loven this season?

His BS was tedious but I suppose overall he was good for the League. Plus he did tone down a little towards the end.

At the time I understood the argument that Shearer was maybe in the way during his last 18 months, it certainly had some weight. But with the hindsight of the last couple of seasons with what players like Owen, Martins, Viduka contributed I feel Shearer was still just as good an option if not even better.

Should have waited until May unfortunately.
