Isn't it just like the offside, really. Everyone goes into great debate about how complex and confusing the rule is when in fact it isn't at all and merely backed by common sense.
Problem with common sense is that it's not that common.
Yep, you can teach a ref all the rules but you can't teach individuals common sense.
Well I lack a concrete example here, but it seems to happen often that the ref and linesman will make the correct decision but it's after in the studios that it'll be rehashed to death until someone comes out with the inevitable: "well the problem is that no one knows what the exact rule is". Which is just horseshit.
Anyway, I've sidetracked this completely.
