I don't think you can underestimate the fact that he's got black friends. It is a strong mitigating factor (I genuinely hope that was part of his defence!!) I must admit. They need to make an example of him and send a message out that they won't tolerate racist behaviour in British football. Ban the prick for the rest of the season.

Given the FA's 'Kick it Out' campaign I can't see them reducing it. They've already found him guilty of using racist language and they're not going to suddenly change their minds and decide he's not guilty after all. If anything they should be extending it.

Any of them if the price is right. [/obvious] Same goes for most players at most clubs too, all depends how desperate the buyers are to do business. If any of them do go then I also think we'll get top dollar for them but it's irrelevant if the owner is unwilling to invest the money back into the first XI. i'd guess 'his people' would want proof if we are saying it isn't going through due to a medical concern. No idea but I'm fairly sure that any 'deal' we had was always subject to a medical. If our docs have had a look and said they don't fancy it then we're within our rights to pull out of the deal. Whether or not it's justified is a bit of a moot point.

If we've pulled out of the deal because of a genuine concern about his fitness then it's fair enough, we've dodged a bullet. If we've pulled out of the deal because it would mean Ashley actually parting with real cash then it's fucking absurd. The fact Ashley has only ever actually 'paid' for 2 strikers since he took over has me a bit concerned. (Xisco and Best btw).
