Yep. It'll go exponentially ballistic mate

I don't disagree but I think that's cancelled out by the people who would love to go but currently don't bother with the ballot as the prospect of an 80% failure isn't worth my time or effort. The demand to see this team is huge, the opposition is largely irrelevant. Hundreds of thousands of people just want to see NUFC play football against someone

I could well be in the minority here but I think we'd fill 70k for any competitive fixture we played. The lowest demand I can imagine would be a L3 team up here in he LC on a Tuesday night but even that would eventually sell out, with sensibly priced tickets, imo. How often would that happen though? Once every couple of years? Any domestic fixture - sold out, the overwhelming majority of European fixtures - sold out. The demand to see this team is already through the roof and there are thousands of fans who don't even bother to try and get tickets now as the demand is already sky high. Now we've won the first one we're only going to get bigger, better and attract more and more fans from other countries Build it once, make it huge
  5. Yeah, I meant if City or Forest finish top 5, and either win the cup, it's EL for 6th and 7th? Didn't make it clear
  6. So where does that leave 6th and 7th places then? Assuming City and Forest finish top 5, would both 6th and 7th be Europa or just 6th?
  7. That would be a bit too far, as would half and half like Blackburn, but I just like the fact they've at least put some thought into it and tweaked it
  8. If that's the shirt then I'm a fan. I can understand the hate but I've mentioned before that there's only so much you can do with black and white stripes, they have to come up with ways to mix it up a little and the variable gradation of the stripes makes it different to every other Newcastle home kit. It would look even better if the stripes were on the back too but that's a battle we're not winning unfortunately. At some point they need to mix it up or we just kit every year with virtually any significant differences. Damned if they do, damned if they don't etc
  9. Apart from the worst Man U team of the last 30 years because he was too fucking lazy to even run about

    Alexander Isak

In theory the next 5 seasons of Isak's career should be his absolute peak. He's already generally regarded as one of the top strikers in the world, is proven in multiple Leagues and is still getting better and better. I'm not surprised other huge clubs want him and would love to sign him, it's inevitable and he's bound to be in demand. That doesn't mean we can't turn down every bid that potentially comes in for him though, he's essentially priceless imo The only thing that changes things is if he's making noises about actually wanting a move away, that would mean we have to cash in but I think it's unlikely this summer and sincerely hope he signs a shiny, bumper new contract soon. He's magnificent

    Absolute shitpinger for Sweden
  13. Immediate, weapons-grade chomp from the fat pig. The fact he's rattled enough to feel the need to have a direct pop back at him tells everyone that it's hit a nerve because every single word Gayle said is true. He's fucking clueless, he's fucking lazy and he's fucking incompetent. His name and reputation as a player is the only reason he's lingered around milking each job for as long as he can. He's an utter piece of stinking, mouldy shit

    Sean Longstaff

The only time he looks even remotely useful is when his team are sitting deep and all he has to do is hold down a position and just disrupt, intercept, block and tackle. No pressure to do anything with the ball, just work hard, get goal side and buzz about destroying attacks. He can look decent in these situations. Maybe Man U really are interested?
  15. He's on that C-D+ cusp imo. He's usually pretty solid when he's played and has potential to be a star in this team. He was thrown in at the drop end and just expected to cope despite being a compete rookie. The fact he didn't look out of place speaks volumes. Tyoing that it has actually made my mind up tbh, he's a C-
  16. He's probably a B+ but can pull out a performance like the one on Sunday and look utterly majestic at times. He's probably the most complete CM I've ever seen in black and white, especially in that first 12 months but he's often drifted out of too many games and failed to impose himself quite often, you can't just look at his good games he's also been average too. Wonderful player to have around the place though, he's a little gem

Suddenly 1973 seems like a very long, looong time ago. Clock continues to tick for these beasts
  18. Feel a bit shit being so negative after the past few days but my opinion of Longstaff hasn't suddenly changed because we won a cup on Sunday. I'm still of the opinion he's off little to no use to us in getting to where we want to be. It's absolutely not a lack of effort, he gives his all, it's a lack of quality unfortunately. Can't give him anything other than an E+
  19. Really really want the CL but if we do end up in the Europa League or the Conference then we'll win either of them imo. The Cup win yesterday was the first and hardest one to win, now that's done we can move forward and deal with any club on this level, we'll have the odd hiccup but over 2 legs we'll put 98% of European teams away
  20. Howe's about as unsuited to International management as it's possible to get. He thrives on working with his squad on a daily basis, it's square peg in a round hole
  21. Watched the whole game again tonight completely sober and no pressure and was honestly aghast at how good we were. We fucking dominated them and controlled them from whistle to whistle, they had and did nothing. I had an idea of how we could win that game prior to kick off but it was very much a case of grabbing something then clinging on for dear life - riding our luck and just about spawning it, that was the only way I saw us winning it. But we controlled that game from start to finish and totally snuffed them out as an attacking unit for 93 minutes. I honestly didn't know we were capable of that performance on that stage against that opposition but we completely fucking nailed it Every single player did exactly what was asked of him, the tactics worked to perfection and all of their threats were basically nullified by our positioning and good play, sensible, no-nonsense, risk-free play and we squashed the best team in the league out of the game and bullied them in a Cup Final. Impressive isn't even close to what we did yesterday, it was outstanding, we were on it from the first minute til the 101st. The best footballing day of my life and it was 100% deserved, no luck involved, the best team won and it could and should have been by more. We played the cunts off the park, we're capable of anything
  22. I absolutely love it when we break out the shithousing, can't deny it. I know it sometimes works against us but it's class to see so many get so worked up about it

    Dan Burn

As far as dreams go rising up like a salmon to power a header into the bottom corner from about 15 yards out to put your hometown club in front in a final for the first time in 70 years has to be up there
  24. Honestly don't know what to say, I'm still shook. I genuinely never thought this day would ever come and I'm 48. I need time to even process this shit

They'll not give a shit if they lose 10-0 as long as we lose tomorrow, that's all that matters to them this weekend
