  1. This is exactly the issue - who's picking the targets? Who's negotiating the deals? Is Mitchell's list the same as Howe's? Who's speaking to agents? They've had fucking months to prepare for this summer and nothing has happened at all. Eddie Howe is a brilliant football manager and he's more than done his bit over the last 10 months, expecting him to be on the phone tying up deals when he's on his holidays is ridiculous, there has to be a system in place where other people step up and execute basic transfer/scouting shit? Putting all of this on Howe isn't fair imo, he has to take a step back and ask others to step in and help out a bit. Surely?
  2. Sorry but this bloke is currently being let down massively atm. He's delivered a trophy and CL football despite no major first team signings for multiple windows and there's nothing backing him up off the park. Last season was a hell of a struggle at times but the results came and created genuine momentum and excitement and that needed to be built upon but there's been nothing since. Trafford could be close but that deal has been in the pipeline for more than a year. Howe's more than doing his part, the players have delivered and they're all being let down as we speak off the park It's not good enough tbph. Match the stuff the players and management have done ffs. Get your shit in a pile and back this bloke up
  3. Always going to be tough to tempt players to come here as opposed to Chelsea unfortunately. Legit reasons to choose them over us too, just got to hope we have a plan B and move on. Not sure why we spent so long on the deal if he only wanted the Chelsea move though, that doesn't make sense to me
  4. Yeah that's fair enough, what's happened to Eales is awful and something no-one could have predicted, such is life, these things happen unfortunately. I still think it's fair game to at least be informed of what's happening as far as his eventual replacement is concerned though. It's now a billion pound club and we've got no idea who's calling the shots or who is responsible for each aspect of the operation (unless I've missed it) and it's been like this for a while now. I don't expect miracles and don't need precise details but there's no excuse for the zero communication we've had for a long time now
  5. My frustration is at the speed we appear to move at rather tbh. It seems biblically slow compared to others. While I'm having a little moan I'll also bring up the poor communication between the club and fans as regards new roles and responsibilities now that Mitchell has gone (?) and Eales moving on. Who does what now? Who's responsible for what?
  6. Yeah, from what I've gathered, from other people on here and elsewhere, is that the Saudis take an age to get decisions made/approved and it's not a unique problem to NUFC. Just raises the issue of the board members being aligned and ready to move in different directions without needing the official nod every half an hour. There's so much to be positive about regarding the club: Fantastic young English FBs in Tino and Hall Solid keeper/CB and could get even better with Trafford Best CM in the league according to a lot of people/neutrals World class CF in Isak Brilliant manager in Howe Fans completely united behind the club First trophy in 60 years Champions League football again Money to spend by all accounts Yet we can't seem to get any shit done off the park. At all. Really fucks me off
  7. I'm dreading the moment people, maybe legitimately, start kicking off and openly question if the people currently negotiating for players are actually capable of getting a big deal done for a player we want. Could be completely off-beam here but we seem to move so slowly in virtually all aspects of running the club. Obviously none of us know this but the speed and urgency we seem to operate at comes across as a bit embarrassing. Whether it's signing a big player or replacing a key exec or getting a decision on a stadium or training ground it always seems to take an age to happen relative to how other clubs operate. This isn't a toys out of the pram post by any stretch but the failure to follow up on the most successful season in decades is frustrating. The momentum seems to have been killed in the last 5 weeks as we've essentially stood still while others have moved quickly and strengthened. Not saying it's easy but other clubs seem to be dynamic and reactive to opportunities and benefit directly from it. We seem to be just plodding along
  8. Allardyce, Souness, Carver, Pardew, Bruce, Kinnear & Dalglish - what a pack of utter cunts they all were. All shite, just different shades of brown

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

My main concern this summer is the fact other clubs know we've got cash to spend. As soon as we make any kind of bid then then the price goes up immediately. This happens anyway but I think it's even more pronounced as they know they can hike the price up and up and up and we're either forced to pay it or move on to the next in the list. Getting deals done at reasonable price is virtually impossible when they know NUFC is the buying club. I don't blame them but it's definitely an issue we need to contend with
  10. I understand that decision even less No idea how you can make a new kit that is a nod to 2 totally different kits, that seems ridiculous to me
  11. It's not bad but given how unusual the original kit was in a bit disappointed with that effort tbh. They've taken the unique aspect of the original and completely ignored it which I don't understand at all. It's a bit of a cop out really, sure loads will like it and it'll fly off the hangers but it's a wasted trefoil for me

  14. Big risk to take on big Keeet I'll go for a sacking in the first week in December

    Marc Guehi

My only observations would be that if Liverpool wanted him AND if Guehi wanted the move to Liverpool then it would probably have already have happened by now? I'm not that arsed either way but it's an odd one and the fact he's worth 0 in 12 months time means something will probably happen with him after June 30th

    Alexander Isak

Genuinely have no idea how we'd go about replacing him and in theory he's hitting his peak seasons right now. The fee would have to be ridiculous to even contemplate selling him but the reality is that if he wants a move away to Madrid, PSG or Barca then you'd have to let him go and bend the buying club over completely

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I get the fact seeing other clubs make moves we're unable to is slightly frustrating but the angst is canny disproportionate like, sorry

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

So we're at the point in the summer whereby we're not only inventing alternative realities but also getting annoyed by said invented alternative realities too? Sound

Definite change in attitude now the fixtures are out. For the last few weeks they've been bullish as fuck but seeing them absorb the list of fixtures they've got to play has definitely knocked them back. They're (technically) the poorest team in the division so every single game looks tough as fuck and reality has bitten hard today. Few of them moaning about their December fixtures as they, apparently, have to play loads of teams in the same division as they're now in and it's "a fucking joke". This is what they cheered and wanted in May and now they've actually got it they don't fucking like any part of it. They're going to get absolutely fucking battered
  20. Not even long sleeves and a CL patch saves that imo
  21. The whole thing is best taken for what it actually is - a huge charade to distribute as much wealth as possible to a few carefully selected clubs. Not one of the teams want to be there, not a single player wants to play the games, the ticket prices are irrelevant, the attendances don't matter and the fact it's being broadcast for free tells you how much 'the product' is actually worth. It's been arranged with the sole intention of pumping more Saudi cash into the sport in order to exert power and influence over future decisions FIFA will make in the next 20+ years. Anyone taking it seriously needs to take a few steps back, take off the normal glasses and fuck the whole thing off. It's a piece of jewel-encrusted shit of a tournament

I know the saying "never accept the first bid" stands as a little life lesson but if anyone goes to £10m+ then I'd be accepting it. I'd not want to run the risk of them walking away from the deal
