Tiote's a destroyer and he's fucking great at it. Wouldn't want him to change his game a single bit. We've got other players in the XI now who can capitalise on him winning the ball in the centre circle and giving it early. Some people baffle me.

His agent isn't Willie McKay is it, by any chance?

What a fucking finish Soldado.

Bruce's BBC interview after Fulham game: "We just needed that little bit of luck to come our way this afternoon but unfortunately it didn't. But we'll keep plugging away and i'm sure we will." Shouldn't need to have to rely on a bit of luck to beat Fulham at home. Trying to spin it but most of the mackems, rightly, aren't buying it. It's not a lack of luck, it's a lack of quality and it's slowly dawning on them that they might just be pulled into a relegation scrap if they don't pull something out of the bag pretty fucking quickly.

Emre got charged and not banned didn't he? They charged him (Emre) immediately and then heard the evidence though, didn't they? This time they've taken a few weeks to assess things and do their own little investigation THEN charged him. Could be wrong like. The Emre incident was reported after the game in which it allegedly took place (Everton away). The FA announced a day afterwards that they were launching an investigation. Then a couple of weeks later, Emre was officially charged. Thought it was knee-jerk at the time. My mistake.

Can't think that the FA would even consider charging him if they weren't 100% about what the odious cunt said. They know what the charge means - they're branding him a racist, and they wouldn't do something like that lightly. Can see a lengthy ban for the little prick.

Haven't bumped into anyone who actually likes the idea but some dislike it far more than others. Which is fair enough, it's their prerogative. Agree with most of Cronky's post too.

Thanks for clearing that up. Got a bit confused for a bit there.

I'll stick my neck out here and say I'm far more annoyed by the sheer unprofessionalism and cuntishness of Llambias as opposed to the actual content of what he said. He's got no business running a football club if that's how he's going to shoot his mouth off.

Think due to the relative sucess on the pitch people forgot there was a battle of wills still going on. You know the dismantling of the myths KK and Shearer..The tacky logos...The endless stream of horshit and lies...That silly grin.... It's funny how it all seemed to die down though. The good results created a feelgood factor around the ground, the season ticket deal was popular, the ground filled up, the good results continued, the training day was popular.......... then BAM - we're changing the name of the ground - fuck you all. BAM - we think Shearer, Keegan and Hughton are all cunts and Carroll's dogshit. Fuck you all. And we've got City away next weekend. You couldn't make it up man. Tarantino would be hard pushed to come up with this shit. Can he play CH?
-
Short answer no. I'll rephrase it: Would he be worse than Perch?
-
He is a tall lad so on that basis Santon > Perch. Infact if he was 4ft 8, Santon > Perch. That was my thinking. How shit does he need to be to be a worse option than James fucking Perch? I understand it's not his position but if he's a big(ish) lad and can play a bit but have enough defensive nous to hold a line like he needs to do at FB then he's got to be playing ahead of Perch or moving Simpson to CB and letting Santon play at RB?

Build 'em up, knock 'em down. First chink in the armour was the name change and now this. Why can't they just leave things alone ffs.

I know it's not ideal and wouldn't choose to see it but could Santon fill in at CB in an absolute emergency? I know he's a FB who could play on either side but if we're absolutely desperate could he do job there for a game or two if need be? Seen very little of him.
-
Definitely, I'd make a top priority for us to sign some defensive cover in January. Ridgewell sounds like he fits the profile and considering we have been linked with him in the summer and a couple of weeks ago, can honestly see us going for him again. A few people have mentioned Pieters but don't think we'll sign him really. He would be an ideal signing considering he can play CB and LB but as it stands, don't think he'll even be first choice in the team so signing him would be somewhat pointless atm (unless Simpson and Raylor have a massive drop of form). Aye, getting Maiga is great as he sounds like he'll be a really good addition and bulk us out a bit up top but that's not really the priority as it stands. We have no cover at all at CB at the minute. Williamson is out and if anything happens to Coloccini it doesn't bear thinking about. The thought of going into a run of fixtures with Perch is frightening.
-
Sounds like it's all but tied up which is good news obviously. Still concerned that we've not got the cover in defence though. Need a a CB and someone who could play CB or FB. Get those 2 in and we're laughing.

Just wasn't sure what the score was.

Don't the financial fair play rules only apply to the teams competing in Europe? Have I got this wrong?
-
I wouldn't sell it at any price. Something means more than money. You'd want what was best for the club though wouldn't you? Playing at St. James' Park with little sponsorship or playing at the McDonald's Arena and creaming £30m a year every year? What's best for the club? I hear what you're saying like obviously.
-
Maybe it was a case of the entire squad, less the starting XI, being named on the bench officially but not having a chance of getting on?
-
Been class so far, proper end to end. On our telly?

They'll hoy Sports Direct on and flog the whole sponsorship gig as a complete package: ground name, advertising around and outside of the ground and on the shirts too. Job lot for £10m a season or 5 seasons for £35m, lets's haggle you cunts.
