Ba up top by himself and pack the midfield to stop Arsenal playing their tippy tappy nonsense. I'd play a midfield of Barton, Tiote, Cabaye, Gosling and Jonas.

I think we're about £4.5m up. Roughly.

Bingo. Liverpool wanted what was best for the football team, we wanted to make as much money as possible from the deal. That's why he'll be pulling on a red shirt rather than a black and white one tomorrow. Absolutely absurd that we start the season without a specialist LB on the books at all. Unacceptable yet people continue to defend them and make excuses for them. Unbelievable.

Far more concerned with our inability to replace him rather than some childish throwaway comment to his new public.
-
Another one out of the door.
-
Fabregas and Nasri OUT of the game tomorrow.
-
Having adequate cover at all positions shouldn't even be an issue. The notion of starting a league campaign without a single recognised LB is laughable. I know we've got players who could come in a play there but I'm talking about having NO LB specialists. It's not an acceptable position but that's what happens when you've got a casino manager running the gaff day-to-day. I just wish we had someone who had a modicum of sense and a knowledge of how football works. It's just the basics - they're fucking clueless. Can't wait to hear the excuses trotted on Sept 1st...

Can't understand the animosity, he's ambitious whereas the club aren't. He doesn't owe us anything.

With all the money they've spent I wonder whether that will be considered good enough? I doubt it somehow. Dalglish will be given plenty of slack by fans and board imo. Sorting out Hodgson's mess, give him time blah blah etc. If they are up and around 4th or 5th Dalglish will get some slack, if they fall behind the pace then their whiney fans will turn quite quickly imo. Especially if the football isn't what they are used to, and remembering what he did here, you couldn't rule it out. Not on Dalglish imo. He's got too much goodwill built up for them to turn on him. They'll crucify one or two players in a heartbeat but Dalglish will not get too much flack. Let's hope so - can't stand the cunts.
-
They'll have a decent crack at 4th though, that's why Jose's going there They'll not touch Man U, City or Chelsea. Arsenal are the only ones in danger but they'll strengthen before the window shuts. They are showing ambition though.

They've got 5th written all over them.

Just a basic lack of intelligence. You buy the replacement first then sell. It's not even difficult to understand or explain. Don't give a shit how much the wall-pushers want Enrique, he doesn't leave until his replacement is signed. Thick arseholes.

Tbf there's been talks of this move being imminent for weeks and it now seems it'll eventually go through due to movement in our pursuit of Pieters. Which would be fine. As long as we're not left without a LB is fine.
-
Routledge for QPR gave him a tough time iirc.
-
Assume they're negotiating them both at the same time. They letting one go because they think they have the incoming deal lined up. In the case they buy someone at all, obviously! Spotted a flaw.
-
The club should be signing Pieters before selling Enrique anarl. One in, one out - not the other way around.
-
I think the outgoing Carroll turned his nose rather than the liverpool management turning his head but result is the same. Minor details tbh. They wanted him and went about getting him and it looks like they've got him. Strange strategy. Madness. By hook or by crook. Edit: at least we're back in profit for the window though. That's the main thing.

Was always going to happen btw. Don't think he's had any intention of signing a new deal with us since he had his head turned in Jan/Feb. Bit pissed off he dressed it up as wanting CL football but they're a site sight closer to it than we are tbf. Never mind, let's get this Pieters lad in.

Every time he logs on man. Reels 'em in hand over fist.

If he's on the bench it's obviously not too serious otherwise he'd have been sent home early. Or a meringue?
