  1. How long did all of that take you, just out of interest?

    Alan Smith

Absolutely no chance of Smith taking a bit of a cut in wages to actually play football then? Content to do nothing for another year safe in the knowledge he'll be another £3m richer but another year of his career goes by. Fucking arsehole. At what point does playing become more important than money? Accept £40k a week and play or accept £62k a week and waste another year. He's a fucking greedy prick. Fuck off.

2014 man. Can't believe we're stuck with the sackless twat for another 3 years.

    This joke isn't funny anymore...
  7. Did you ask midds for a source Dave? Or a link maybe? Just wondering.... From the match thread. Lots of people saw it and commented on it. You even posted yourself... Awkward for the sake of being awkward tbh.
  8. Fair comment. However these are just options. If it was a choice between selling a highly rated player to buy a defender or a striker, or having less options, I'd choose to sell Jonas ahead of other players (excluding the obvious such as Smith) Do you not just want to create a new account and just, you know, start again?
  9. Top work midds! Mick Lowes said it. You presented it as factual and caused a stir whipping up another frenzy against the regime Just what we needed
  10. Top work midds! Mick Lowes said it. Ah well, that's different. Exactly. I just posted what he had said before the game on Saturday. Looks like he was wrong thankfully.

  12. Pleased to hear it. Shouldn't have even been in question though.
  13. Captain or not, if a club comes in with a decent bid he'll be off.
  14. They've got a decent spine tbh. Carew and Cole, Nolan and Parker, Faye with Green in goal. They'll go up.
  15. It's not like the players who have left have been playing for free either. Nolan and Routledge out versus Cayabe and Marveaux in is fairly even I'd have thought... Smoke and mirrors man. Any excuse is trotted out and some people swallow the lot. £20m in wages.... Give the fuck over.

Pedro would get the job. New messiah, fresh start etc.

    Alan Pardew

Yep. Don't get the sudden change and he's actually got folk feeling sorry for him now. Each to their own I suppose.
  18. Ashley's regime has generally been pretty good at getting decent fee's to be fair. In some cases they've done really well. Enrique's contract situation is the decisive thing here though. He won't let him go for nothing next summer and will take whatever is offered for him imo. No doubt he'll be off. Pardew keeps talking about a plan in place if he leaves. Have to assume he has someone lined up, so if it doesnt happen he will be slaughtered. However, i dont think he'd keep reiterating it if he wasnt confident. That's where we disagree. I think his 'replacement' is already here - Ferguson. No need to spend cash and it gives one of the young lads a chance which fans approve of. Doesn't always work out but the fans will swallow it until Jan. I really dont think so. Pardew was reluctant to even give games to Fergie up until the end of the season. Cant see him being happy going into a new season with an untested youngster. Especially with no back up. Im fairly confident we'll bring someone in and Fergie will be back up. That left hand side of Enrique and Jonas worked well for 2 seasons and Pardew would have been criticised had he dropped one or the other. Ferguson has bided his time and he'll get his chance I reckon. Could be wrong but we'll soon see.

Solves a problem without risking any cash. If it works he's a genius, if it doesn't then he gave Ferguson a chance to establish himself.

  22. The notion of Ashley haggling over his fee is laughable. We'll accept a derisory offer of about 5 or 6 million, send him on his way and replace him on the cheap IF we're lucky. More likely is to stick young Ferguson back in there and keep the cash in the bank. We know how he works.
