I was going to say prior to the second goal, i love how every commentator thinks Tiote has a good shot after that goal vs Arsenal. Apart from that shot i think hes fluffed or skied every other shot outside of the box.

From BBC I was about to say how bright Hatem Ben Arfur has looked on his Newcastle comeback, when he instigates the move that leads to the Magpies retaking the lead. Ben Arfur frees Sylvain Marveaux, who has caused problems for Forest all night. He cuts in from the flank and is tugged back by defender Brendan Moloney. That's a penalty, which Peter Lovenkrands smashes home. Lee Camp got a hand to it, but it was not enough

Another one here Sylvain Marveaux could have then nicked the maximum points for the visitors but the Frenchman saw his volley travel over Given's bar.

Coincidentally it was also when Shola was sent on. Eventually, we have to stop sending him on because he offers nothing up front. I'd rather have sent Marveaux on for Ba and Sammy on Best, and play 4-6-0 Barca-style rather than playing 4-5-1 but the 1 being a useless fuckwit like Shola. At least Sammy and Marveaux weren't giving away the ball time and time again. To be fair to Shola apart from a few bad touches when he first came on he didn't do too bad. He created a good chance for himself with a decent strike, but i agree i wouldnt have put him on unless Best was injured, even then i would have put on Sammy first or Lovenkrands. Another thing i noticed yesterday was that since Ba and Best could actually keep hold of the ball between each other, this allowed runners from midfield to get at the full backs. Obertan made some good runs just shame he cant cross and Cabaye got forward alot more as we saw with his shooting. I'd love to see Marveaux start next game but i think he will stick with the same team against Blackburn.

Without sounding too negative, Villa were gash today and they hardly had a sniff at goal, thanks to better play from us but against better teams it could have been 2.0 down, good job bent is shit.

Good half, just lacking the penatration in the last third. I'd keep it the same 2nd half but they are bound to come at us, we need a left footer on the left wing. Bring Marveux on about 60th minute and possibly Lovenkrands for some extra pace. Ba looking good tho and good to see Tiote back to some sort of form from last season.

Dont know why we're playing so different to Monday, one player cant make that much difference, gives me confidence that we can keep the ball and get a goal hopefully!
