    Players in public

Cor blimey...he was a clogger...remember him...dirty b******.He played in a Birmingham defence that had Coton in goal and Mark Dennis at left back...f***ing animals. That's without Kevin Dillon and Robert Hopkins in front of them. I dont remember him as a player, too young but, he was such a nice man, wouldnt think he was like that Seriously, having him teach youngsters football is like putting King Herod in charge of a creche. you just think of him at birmingham and portsmouth with certain characters at those times..........................................he was a teacher ?
  2. If he can get him playing to his old ability then Smith would be an asset tbf. come on billy, i know you better than that......wheres the punchline ? his meaning Shearer's. ah gotcha I realise there's more chance of us plaiting piss like. haven't heard that in years. hope i can remember it at the weekend. such a good line.

  6. shirley now that he's managing NUFC it will grow into a "killer" style mane.
  7. Yeah, everyone found out that the "Wise System" isn't actually that bad and he's done a great job with the youth/reserve squads and little to nothing with the senior squad. About as close as he got to the senior squad was Bassong whom they probably thought was going to be in the reserves (until he turned out to be massive). Probably the same with Xisco who has spent more time around the reserves than the senior squad to be fair. any proof of this ? Any proof of anything? Other than Keegan being a big baby and walking away leaving a s*** storm in his wake where all the blame went straight to Wise and "the system"? We'll never know what goes on behind the closed doors. we'll never know if keegan was a big baby or justified. pissed off abouth that really.

  9. thtas the way things are shaping up........should things work out.
  10. differing times i know but it didn't work for bobby's moore or charlton. latterly waddle, shilton, platt, adams all failed dismally as managers. however for what it's worth i think shearer will be more more of a success than those.
  11. Realistically speaking, the better quality options such as Bruce etc wouldn't touch us with a bargepole if we went down. We'd have been stuck with Kinnear. Shearer would be the best option, definitely. I think playing under Shearer for Newcastle United could convince a few players (not the likes of Owen, Martins, Jonas obviously) to stay one year with us in the CCC and try to get us promoted. Could be very right there. There are so many benefits to this. The players that will want to stay, the players that will want to sign for us if he stays, the level of leadership he naturally has anyway. Perfect all over far too early to be thinking of anything like that. (not that we can't go down but what the feelings in the club would be if it happens)

    olympiakos it is then
  13. Why would one assume that Shearer would get rid of our aging British players? Hmmmm ... yeah, just as likely Shearer keeps the experienced Brits around tbh. However, the difference is that he will not put up with crap performances from them and will definitely let them know if they are not doing the job Or he could play the experienced foreign s**** in Geremi, Cacraper, Viduka (chance would be a fine thing) or the biggest transfer flop of the season AKA Colo. He could. Doesn't have a choice really. We are the UN of vastly experienced players who play like s***. I'd just think Shearer would want to bring/keep British players to Newcastle. (Just a shame most of ours are old and s***) maybe he'll just pick what he considers to be the best bunch of players to do a given task regardless of age or nationality ?
  14. don't think we will though (win on saturday that is)
  15. Fair comment. I just think those quotes from Lee and Shearer himself suggest he strongly disagrees with the concept of a director of football in any capacity. thing is exery DofF has a different remit.
  16. thats assuming we know what wise does.
