The Newcastle United Transfer Thread: D-Day [Spoiler: Not Much Happens]
madras replied to LooneyToonArmy's topic in Football
We may get Nolan and Taylor, but I would be surprised if we managed to get Donadel as well. If we got all four though, I would be impressed with our efforts all things considered. with a saviola on the side sir ? -
Yeah I mean whats 11 years like you'd think after 11 years if he wanted to leave he'd stick a request straight in instead of going through the dance he danced.
-
good. he's f***ed about for long enough and i'm pleased we have forced him to do this in a way. Agree, but it's still heartbreaking. (Yeah, go on then madras, you know you want to). too bloody obvious man. i've got you to the point of expecting it......now i let you down..........i'll let you simmer.

if we didn't need the money i'd keep him till the summer........just because.

good. he's fucked about for long enough and i'm pleased we have forced him to do this in a way.

i've already posted similar but also noted that we need the cash he could bring in.

What was the MRI scan for? he'd been having trouble sleeping obviously

Or Rennes, although Florence is a lot nice for a weekend trip away. I don't get why we even offered £12m when Fiorentina would take 9m Euro's for Donadel. You can tell you want to be a journo, it was 8m Euro's the other day and they are diffefrent players who offer differentr qualities. definite mirror material But they play the same position don't they? Essien and Xavi have totally different qualities to, but they still play the same position, so I don't see the point of what you are saying. so different players even in the same position offer differing qualities...hence differing prices.

medical is brilliant, more like him and we'd be challenging for europe.

most did, and i'm someone who don't think he's been as bad as some on here think, but in the summer most identified a new spine as being necessary for the team......centre forward,2 central midfielders and a centre half. where as the manager of the time wanted a left back and apparantly walked because his wide midfielder turned us down on deadline day.

I prefer Butt. Say what you want about him but he's definately a fighter who gives his all. People say the same about nolan but i really don't agree. He has a decent shot on him but other then that, he offers nothing else. He's also extremley slow and about a half a stone overweight. He's the sort of player that rarely gets involved in play but might come up with a decent shot on goal now and again, then go back to doing nothing. Barton is better than Nolan, but Butt is far worse than both. He's been a disgrace this season. Barton is 10 times the player Nolan is. Maybe i'm wrong about Butt and his performances this season but honestly speaking, if someone said that spurs were gonna sign either him or nolan, i'd go with Nicky (maybe it's because of the type of midfielder he is, i don't know). He's been motm the last couple of times we've played you at the Lane. barton was...he's done nothing on the pitch for us to live up to the good player he was at citeh

possibly mistaken but i think the player often negotiates a loyalty cluase into the contract....on top of that the player gets 10% of a transfer fee if he didn't ask for the move.
-
I'm not sure, he's done as much by mouthing off but I don't know if he's put a request in writing which will be the right way to do it. same by nice guy given

on the other hand they couldn't agree a fee then come into an extra 4.5mill -
The fact is that he's refused to play and for that he's finished here. Didnt stop Kieron Dyer carrying on for a while (did he actually end up playing that day at Middlesbrough?) yes he did as a asub iirc
