We'll have to agree to disagree, the extremes are mad. it's the way the league is at the moment. i've never known it like this so far into the season where a single win can not only change your perception but actual position.

what did he mouth ? "i aint signing a new'un" ?
-
That sounds like knee jerking to me and yes, the passports out. it's not knee jerking...it's a legitimate state of affairs.
-
I'd rather knee-jerk, that way I can blend in with others. it's not knee jerking at the minute though. it is week by week "ohhhh whoah is us,w e are in a relegation spot....we're doomed".....1 win later "renew passports lads,we're 3 points off europe"
-
possibly, but i still blame him entirely for last week. Absolutely, his substitutions are the real problem I see with him, the changes he made last week were truly awful. To be fair he only had one center midfielder available when Guthrie got injured. but there was no need to move so many players about.....colo to centre mid and taylor to centre half would have kept our shape that had pissed on them first half.

no no, that would only give a snapshot and take away the widely varying feelings of supporting this lot week in/out. What's the scale? as in the releagtionometer

as in the relegationometer. what the hell,it's christmas and we are as close to relegation as europe almost. so in the spirit (whisky on this occasion) of the season........................... 8

all the back 4 were shaky on the ball, enrique was probably the best of the 4 with the ball and i only really remember him getting done the once.
-
no he wasn't whatever, haven't seen it on tv yet, that's the telephony review I've had, I'm happy to make unjustified accusations they are the most fun ones to make.
-
and the reason they are at portsmouth is because they have too many off days to be at a better club.
-
it was (poor keeping helped aswell as it did for martins's goal....went down far too early and made martins mind up)
-
He doesn't have to do anything to get in the team, he's up against Duff who provides absolutely nothing. get a right midfielder and get jonas back over there
-
a cliche i know but the first goal was vital as it was very even till then(i'd go so far as to say they probably created the better chances up to that point)

certain people really have forgotten, or never got at all, the feeling around supporting & watching the club from bobby leaving onwards, largely because of ashley i haven't, i honestly believed we'd eventually get relegated under the old board, their ineptitude seemed to know no bounds after the robson appointment, in fact even during that when they were making the poor old fella look like a mug on the sky cameras with the rooney bid being released the old board did some top stuff but people with memories know it was coming apart at the seams, with 100m+ of debt and the current credit crisis it would have taken a f***ing good manager to get us back to the CL imo to be fair i'm pretty sure the rooney bid was made public from the everton end.

how about a "Please help. I am trapped here.....http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,57178.0.html...and being held against my will"
-
how about a reworking of the 80's iconic "FRANKIE SAYS RELAX" T-shirt with a "NE5 SAYS mackems.gif" obviously you'd have to catch the gif midflow. edit. you beat me to it. just realised the mackems gif T has a title. very very funny. i'd buy if it wouldn't be too geeky when explaining to others.

I do hope these people realise that if we signed Bellamy, we'd have two strikers shorter than him. He'd be a giant among men. height doesn't matter too much....timing and execution does. think how many headres owen has scored, martins for that matter. ferdinand was,i believe under 6ft aswell. I'm sorry, but no. There are severe disadvantages to have three tiny strikers, and two fragile tiny strikers. It's not even about being under or above six foot. I definitely take some one who has 5' 10-11 and a bit robust. I think power and height are important attributes of strikers and always have been. martins is robust and on aoccasions has shown himself to be able to lead like that (unfortunatly as he keeps proving you never know which martins is turning up). agreed it's not ideal but think rooney-tevez........beardsley-cole....? There's a reason Manchester United bought Berbatov. And Cole is exactly what I was talking about when I mentioned a robust player of average height. Oba is robust and physical, and that's something I like about him, but his sheer lack of height and body size prevents him from fulfilling certain roles. man utd didn't take berbatov for his height/heading ability It's not just height/heading, because Tevez is alright in the air, but it's for holding the ball up and generally being able to compete with defenders physically. What do you think they signed him for? tevez is better dealing with the physicality than berbatov.....berbatov has better movement, technique outside the box and vision.......man u should drop rooney and try those two together imo

I think Butt's problem is that he holds us back as a team and that was proven first half against Stoke although you could throw the second half display back at me. I expected the first half display when I first heard the team we were putting out and I wouldn't have felt that way if he was playing. He could do a job as back-up but I don't think Kinnear is clever enough to use him like that. I think if he's fit he'll start and I'd rather see him go than be a first choice. We would have to replace him if we let him go but I think we can do that and get a better player in his place. could have said the same thing two months intio his first stint here. then he came back, we had a little movement, different player. ask yourself if it;s his choice, the managers or the lack of effort, guile from midfield teammates that means he is too often the furthest forward of our midfielders ?
