Again, that's just looking at it from a purely stats point of view. The reason we are conceding late goals against Wigan, Sunderland, Fulham and now Stoke ( all s*** sides btw) is because we are sitting back on our lead, dropping deeper and deeper allowing the opposition to overwhelm us. There's nothing wrong with sitting back and then countering fast on the break, but if we take our quicker players like Martins off, we don't have any real threat on the counter. We are actually playing very brainless football in these situations. A single player, Fuller was allowed to single handedly devastate us on our own ground. He wasn't dealt with in 45 mins, we were too busy giving ourselves problems by switching players from defence to midfield and generally panicking rather than controlling the game through possession. it's not really when the goals are conceded as much as when do we get pushed back and haven't got a clue how to get out. thats happened when martins has been both on and off the pitch. you could counter the "needing a fast player to counter attack" with the "of our three front line centre forwards he is the least likely to hold it up and take pressure of the defending"

I just think we have to accept as match going folk that Jonas is deperatrly average. No ammount of message board hype will build him up above anything than medicre. Still our best winger since Solano & Robert mind...although that's not saying much for Milner, Duff & N'Zogbia. Thats not saying a great deal. At the mo, he's like a Daniel Cordone. in the fact that he has long hair and is argentininan.....the similarity ends there.

1 accy up (ajax,milan backed..sochaux laid) 1 accy doon (AEK,olympiakos backed,le mans laid...all up....lokeren laid,they beat brugge) all in all 84p up

moving coloccini into midfield was the obvious choice imo.....he's played there regularly for depor and it means the positiional changes are kept to a minimum with fewer players being played out of position.
-
i want that kid as the new manager
-
as much to do with the midfield not having a clue what to do because of the un ncecessary changes. if guthrie went off in jured then coloccini into centre mid (where he played half a season for deportivo) taylor into the back 4 and the team keeps it's shape.
-
did you see him get skinned by Griffin? that was quality by griffin. had jonas done it you'd have still been wanking over it.
-
doesn't matter who the captain is. if they are leaders they'll lead regardless. was tony adams less of a leader when shearer captained the england team ? someone should have stood forward today as a leader (i was hoping for beye or coloccini) but it never happened.
-
thought charlie done his usual "busy but ineffective" routine today/ at least two occasions today in the first half half when geremi had the ball in space....looked wide left only to find charles sprinting at him then away into bizzarre positions

What a pass from Oba. Glad we didn't attack with these useless buggers second half, we could easily have thrown it away. nowt about the movement from the bloke who received the passes ? Absolutely. If we'd bothered to give him some service second half, we might have had a hatful. Understandable though against such a good side. That free kick is even more ridiculous than it looked at the time mind. f***ing joke of a decision from a linesman standing 2 yards away. Mong. the same linesman whom before and after that decision couldn't give throw in decisions inches in front of him without the refs say so. riley actually had a good game till the last 30 today. really good point in the 2nd half when one of our defenders sliced it and it went back to given, who being unsure wether or not to pick it or kick it....kicked it. but riley had legged it to try and get into givens line of sight and was making "catch it" hand gestures.as if to say " it's not a back pass".

She obviously do know who I am, how else would she nearly have gotten off with my mate that just means she knows who your mate is.

Regarding Guthrie, it might be a lack of willingness to take responsibility while he's playing next to a more experienced player. Take Butt out of it and that would have to change. subjective call. i'm not so sure he's up to it. It worked well last season with Butt Geremi and Barton in midfield, don't see any reasons why it wouldn't work with Guthrie (better than Geremi), Butt (only slightly worse than Butt six months ago) and Jonas (better than Barton) all seasoned central midfielders 9even geremi had played there plenty) as opposed to guthrie and two more natural and lesser experienced wide players. Butt would still be there. I'd even put Jonas on the bench if we had to play three CMs for this formation to work, with Geremi, Butt and Guthrie in midfield. her being gone is really messing with your brain isn't it ? even in a 3 man midfield i'd have jonas in before guthrie and as i've mentioned the chance of owen and viduka lasting the 90 adequatly we have no need to push the 3 up fronty as of yet. Sorry, I haven't read all the replies, just thought that you missed me suggesting Jonas, Guthrie and Butt. and you missed me saying that due to fitness i wouldn't play all three up front yet ? we need a pic of the miss otherwise she may turn into a wormy style cause celebre owen reckons it takes him 5 or 6 games to get back after a month out yet viduka will be fit for 90mins after having a couple of games after being out since may ? Point taken, but it's not like Owen doesn't play for 5 or six games after coming back. You need to play to get match fit, so for as much as possible, we should play Viduka, Owen and Martins. Whether that will be for 30 minutes in six games or 90 minutes from Saturday, that's up to how fit Viduka is (which is hard for us to say, really) i disagree, they should be played back in. owen can mange an hour or so,then bring viduka on till he builds it up. by the time viduka is fit enough to start............well, you might have shagged her, i'll have mastered this keyboard and all will be well with the nufc world. None of them sounds plausible, tbh true sadly true

OK, I don't see any Racism in that. It's interpreted, quite understandably, as the negative stereotype which says muslims = terrorists. Racism is the wrong word because Islam isn't a "race", but it's the same kind of bigotry: taking a negative characteristic from one or some and applying it to all members of a human category. "All them blacks/Jews/Muslims is lazy/miserly/terrorists." Why weren't the Newcastle fans singing it at Tuncay? Yeah, great excuse. "It can't be prejudice because it was only directed at one guy." And why do you think it was directed at one guy, and one guy only. Could it possibly be the fact that (pre-haircut) he had a passing resemblence to a Mr Richard Reid, something that had already been picked up by other football club supporters and the press? You can chunder on about Richard Reid to your heart's content, but anyone looking at this is going to deal with the words that were actually said. Ok then, why don't you tell us all why Mido was singled out last year then if it wasn't anything to do with looking like Richard Reid? f*** knows how these morons think. You've had it explained more than once. by them

I can't wait until the day comes when Butt isn't an automatic choice, I think he's a weakness and that needs sorting. i think he's the best we have in aposition that needs sorting
