  1. So what happens if keegan targets the wrong type of players? They fail. Just like hundreds of multi-million pound players up and down the country do every year. He then lives and dies by that, as the man with the final say. I don't see why Keegan is viewed by some as an irresponsible spender. given the choice i wouldn't want keegan making those decisions on his own. i don't trust him blindly.
  2. how has the club got plenty of debt ? and we may have a whole lot more should any potential buyer do a glazier.
  3. 5 players were bought for him (apparently), do you think Jonas, Coloccini, Xisco, etc. will see it that way? Are you implying that they would be offended by him resigning? If so, its a fair point, but the issue was with Nacho or Xisco and both did hold talks with him, Xisco spoke reasonably highly of him so... At the end of the day they are professionals but i truly believe the more influential memeber of the team - Given, Harper, Owen etc would of been gutted and slighlty resentful of the board for hs departure. Owen especially. If KK comes back with the people who were above him, now out of the door, I think they'd accept him back without a doubt. If, however, he just strolls back in sometime in midweek under the same circumstances, I think there'd be a lot of resentment towards him. i dont think so. there are a lot of mongs out there who just want keegan in charge, regardless of wether he's in the right or wrong I'm talking about the players. uh huh ?

  6. Why was he sat theer by himself today? Coz he's hard. He don;t need no protection, he da man bitch.
  7. i think they would. keegans strong point is working with players and it would bring stability for a time for them
  8. That's my feeling on the matter and why I have taken sides on this. meanwhile keegan says he had the final say (but really knows he hasn't)............i call that a lie.....what do you call it ? Or.... he thought he'd be having the final say, and then when it gets to deadline day and players are thrust upon him, he realises it not to be the case. I smell an attention seeker. Aren't both of your opinions perfectly viable - why is it that his is automatically wroing and is labelled an attention seeker? Im pretty sure Keegan said he had a say in who he wanted in that role. Something like there had been a discussion when he took the job and a list of people who were candidate for this role and of them he said he'd prefer that Wise came in... Cant remeber the exact quote. You're missing my point completely. I think Keegan DID agree to the structure. but it's plain for all to see that he did not agree to have NO say in transfers. That is backed up with quotes from keegan, Wise and Ashley in recent times. Yup thats my take on it. The club are using the word "structure" and trying to make people believe that within that Keegan also agreed to no involvment in transfers. They do know the internet exists right ? or they know contracts exist Well that of course is the deciding factor. We will never ever know what was in the contract unless this thing rumbles on into court get away. thats been my whole point since the whole circus got underway.

  12. if you want to use "he was trying to sell barton" (good....in my opinion) could we offset that with " he was trying to buy schweinsteiger"?

  14. This the club say keegan joined the club agreeing to this structure. why should i belive either ?
  15. is it cos jonas is injured and barton(who keegan desperate wanted to keep)is suspended and enrique is injured meaning n;zog needs to cover elsewhere(in the same way o'shea covers in defence and midfiueld for man utd) our squad is than when we have 4 or 5 first teamers out.
  16. the good thing is........unlike when you go to a good indian sitty doony....we don't have any choice!
  17. The Gallowgate most have been worse than the Leazes then, I always thought the Gallowgate was a bit strange. aye..................................it may be the "madras effect"
  18. as yet theres as much proof he spat his dummy
  19. I'm not saying there shouldn't be protest and never would. But I give a s*** about how it makes us look to the rest of the country and not just because I'm from the north east and live in London. The coverage on the tv of that particular banner made it come across as crass and ignorant. Whatever the points made about the loose use of the words "cockney" and "mafia" or whatever, most people just don't get that. I've spent half the day dealing with it - I'm not really in a position to say "I don't give a f***." My two lads have had nothing but s**** off people all week and at their football this morning. Then we have to start dealing with that. Whatever the message was meant to be, it came across all wrong and as someone who's had to deal with it outside the comfort zone of Newcastle and thereabouts, it's not been at all good, for the reputation of the north east, its people and Newcastle United supporters in particular. what is it your lads have to deal with ? it's my team. thats the end of it.
  20. I didn't notice much other than when they walked around, those next to them clapped, obviously it could have been different in other parts of the ground but if it wasn't more than clapping I can't see how it would put players off. i was in the gallowgate and people were watching that banner going round more than the footy. when they tried to tell them to stop it was if the players stopped to watch aswell
  21. I think he was tbh. Shola was the only competitor imo. Maybe N'Zogbia, but he actually contributed nicely to our football when he was put in his correct position. Put Michael Owen at left-back he will be s***, too. The fact of the matter is, Zog isn't a left-back, never in a month of Sundays. They were all gash though tbh, no denying that - aside from maybe Owen. only colccini and owen came out with any credit. butt was at least as good as the rest and crtainly better than guthrie,n'zogbia, ameobi and edgar
  22. The banner was half way up the East stand and went around the Leazes into the Milburn and the crowd reaction was less than you get if you do a Mexican Wave. by the time that banner got round to the milburn that section was going and the whole atmosphere in the stadium changed
