Got to say, even before the Mings injury I was surprised by their persistent high line. A cursory look at last season would see we love to play against one, the pre season game likewise and that Martinez was constantly having to come out and head clear. Reminded me a bit of Brighton at home last season with a stubborn resistance to change something that clearly didn't work.

It wasn't an even game. It was even for about an hour during which we created more. The last half hour there was one team in it and they were lucky to lose by only 4 by the end of it.

I think we'll be looking at both (one permanent, one loan possibly with option or obligation to buy). I wouldn't be at all surprised with Tierney or Cucurella on loan.

At the top end it's another level, for the most part it's not. Like when people talk about players making the "step up" to international level and you think 'they're playing Romania", it's not really a step up from playing the likes of Villa or Spurs. The difference for us is extra games, not really a different level of football.

He was decent. Started off slowly and grew in to it,nowt spectacular but when we were having trouble bringing the ball out he does what he does and breaks the press when we needed it. A 6.75 out of 10 game.

My NFC wireless bit didn't work so had to turn it off and use the barcode instead. Should be quicker in future when folk get used to it.
