it's more to do with the way those reults have been achieved. pass and go...not perfect but a vast improvment and good for football looking to attack in every game home and away. a work inprogress gradually getting better, stronger and more confident

I'm not sure that season ticket sales will mean more than that, it might have been different if Keegan had of been appointed at a time when tickets were on sale. just think season ticket applications is a better guide than fans views during a good run

Both the reception Keegan has received and the change on the pitch will have strengthened Keegan position at the club which was already high because they appointed him. Mort and Ashley must be impressed with the turnaround at the club since Keegan came in. They'll be impressed by the way we are now playing compared to previously under Allardyce which they were clearly unhappy with or he would still be here and they can't fail to have been impressed with Sunday’s game. I think they now know what it'll be like to go to a game when or if we become successful. I think they'll have experienced the atmosphere and will want more. If they had any doubts about the potential of this football club, they'll have been washed away on Sunday. I think the mackem game was massive and more than 3 points were gained but we'll only see if that's the case at the end of August and any new players are here. applications for season tickets will mean more than all that
  4. more likely the player is in control and wants it sorted before euro 2008 plus "all" those other suitors would have been in touch with him by now. we may well be the first to go official and we may flush out others but what the hell....denilson went to betis, palermo to villareal(?) in similar circumstances.
  5. why would dinamo be that bothered about getting others involved....if liverpool offer £10 mill and he wants to go there then they have the choice to accept or not.
  6. might have been today but it seems like 15 pages or so ago
  7. in general chat it would be claimed that as soon as you let one foreigner in you open the doors to their families etc
  8. Class name! We should sign him so I can have it on the back of my shirt! sounds like a mackem trying to force you to look at something
  9. seems like you're hedging your bets rather well. what size shoes (how much concrete should i buy)
  10. could you imagine if it broke that we were in talks with huntelaar (for example)...would the screen melt ?
  11. be concrete slippers for you kidda if this aint true.
  12. i reckon it's a betting scam
  13. not really. i am not sure that we will sign him mind, bu we do actually want him and he is attainable. the croatian coach reccomending him to go to newcastle can only do us favours though, presuming it isn't a front. are you saying we didn't actually want rooney and he wasn't attainable ?
  14. What? Is he just talking about tradition here? he spent 3 years at everton
  15. dunno bout that...been watching a bit potuguese footy of late and it's not very good. they are producing very good players but the football itself isn't very good.
  16. ladbrokes offering 1/4 this thread will head 75 pages by the weekend.
  17. sure thats by half man half biscuit
  18. it alll comes down to what provisos/clauses were in his contract...i doubt we'd have signed him without some cover/protection
  19. Look up. probably a bare light bulb
  20. hate it and love it depending on my mood (permanent silly season on here mind ya)
  21. To be honest, I reckon he'd only be gutted about losing Owen, and even then, as long as he can bring his own men in he'll be fine. The board need to back him though, be it through contacts or new signings. I'm sure they will do though, as they've now spoken about contracts for all of these three I don't understand why they are talking about it and doing nothing though ? Are they playing games with the players or something ? Just get them signed up if Keegan wants them, show them good faith, and behave like a progressive club by doing so ffs Signing Michael Owen asap on a new contract will speak volumes in football circles and tempt other players they target See, the only problem I have with them at the moment is they're talking a bit more than I'd want. I'd rather hear nothing coming from the club until things are sorted. Who's to say they're not already sorting these contracts out now premiership status is secure? thats about the size of it. I agree. What are they mouthing off for ? Just get on with it and tell us when its done. The only motivation they have in talking about it and all these silly digs, is basically points scoring ie "appeasing" Stupid tbh Oh fer ferks sake. Silly digs? They are reasuring people that contract situations regarding a number of our players will be addressed now our top flight status is assured. Whether they manage to strike a deal suitable for all parties who knows, but glad to hear that they're on to it. Glad to be "appeased". sorry Jon. Its the players they should be talking to, not the press. Perhaps you can tell us what, if you think Morts comments, which are the subject of this thread, are all about then ? Who do you think he's talking about, and if you agree with him, please tell us who and why ? Who is this player that has "appeased" us,that he thinks isn't what the club should be doing, and he knows better ? He must have had somebody in mind or he wouldn't have said it. Don't you agree ? are you trying to merge all threads to one or two topics ?
  22. Dear Alan Oliver, What happened to "wide of the mark" ? Yours thinking you're an arsehole Madras
