  1. I'd like us to win as many games as possible. Don't care how we win them. I'm not kidding myself, it'll take a few years to sort this club out but if he puts things in place - success in the League will follow. While we're waiting, a Cup win would be much appreciated. Would you rather us play pretty football, finishing 5th and winning nowt? f*** that - want to celebrate something. that is shockingly blingsighted, of course i would prefer the cosistent top 5 with great football. Do you not see how important it is to estabilish the club for the future. Making this club more attractive to any top class manager is my priority, one who would take usto that next step on wininng that important trophy. But to say you'd prfer crap football with mid table prosperity is absurd at which point are we realising our potential??? shocking Erm, aye! I'd prefer crap, effective winning football and I've already said if he gets it right, we'll finish high enough in the League. All I'm saying is - I wouldn't mind seeing us pick up a trophy in the next few years. We played some of the best football in Europe for a few years under Keegan without winning a thing. And what has Fat Heed won? Well who would you prefer to see in charge? Is that the only response there is to anyone who doesn't tow the party line??? It's a simple question. Who would you prefer to see in charge? Ok, but first: Why do you want SA? As for who i want: i want a manager from whom i get the gut feeling that he can actually do something with us, can create the squad, the mentality and the structure that we need to actually be uccessful. I want a manager who has a track record of achievement, and one who has the ability to make the right changes. does a name come with that ? I didn't know it had to. Are we only allowed to have an opinion if we can supplement a name, now? Is that a new rule?? I think Bramble is utter s****. Do i have to name a replacement for him? The point is that i don't think SA is the right person. Why does that mean I have to name someone else? Thats f*** all to do with what i'm saying. we all want that,i want us to get a forward big strong quick skillful full of movement clinical finisher with creativity aswell, works his bollicks off aswell, excellent defending at set peices and buys all the fans a half toime pint aswell you've got a point, this games fucking simple done your way.

  3. thtas what we think, could he be confident enough in his ability to think it'sworth a shot. maybe so, but basing on .. for example mentioned phillips...it's not going to be easy for him at stanford bridge...but i wish him good luck, maybe he'll achieve something with them on the other hand what would you think of a player saying"i'm not good enough for them"?
  4. He'll no doubt give us some small amount of hope that we can win something. NM kind of approves..........................."HALLELULIAH,,,,,,,HALLELULIAH.......HALLELULIAH,HALLELULIAH,..HALLEEEELUUULIAH" .......before his naturally negative instincts kick in, and we win f*** all. natch

Would you rather us play pretty football, finishing 5th and winning nowt? f*** that - want to celebrate something. may take a few years to get to champs league,5th should be a realistic target for next season. Wonder what the odds are on us finishing 5th? I'm all for setting high targets but it'll take a few years to correct things and start making the progress we should be making. Get things right off the field and we'll get things right on the field. My only concern with people making 5th a target is that if we finish, say, 7th - some people will say it's a poor season and we've underachieved. i've voted for finishing in a uefa place, and looking above us i think 5th is a realsitic target That's fair enough. I just hope he's given the time to put things right and not hounded out because he doesn't finish 5th. Because some people will call for his head this time next year due to unrealistic expectations. i agree..............................i'd agree more if you kept it to your own quote box thingy
  8. could he be,rightly or wrongly, very confident in his abilities and thinks due to ballacks form and makaleles age he could get a game and do enough to stay in there ?

  10. Does anyone actually think he sounds serious on that clip? He's even smiling, a phenomenon rarely seen outside of lunch, supper, dinner, and in-between-meals snacks. Looks like The Guardian is trying hard to misconstrue something here. i think that bit refers to when he's talking about the agent

it would be nice if we could run our club like that but as the original proposed flotation showed we are too apathetic and cynical to carry it through. i think it's an english thing! You might be right Madras. If only we could run our club like this. I suppose this story proves that wouldn't guarantee success, but I agree, there is an apathy in England that just thinks like "we can't do this" because we don't have any money/support. It also shows that it can be done, the fans can take control. This is in Europe, and Schalke are the best supported club in Germany. not even we "can'tdo this",more we don't want to,it would be uncool.can you imagine people being proud of something in this country when they have a chance to slag it off instead. they support we criticise

  16. Exactly, I'm all for aiming high but there comes a time when you have to face reality and in general NUFC fans could do with a good dose of it, certainly those who espouse fantasy world stuff when it comes to managers, players and expectations and demands. a aa aaa hitzfeldchoo sorry i sneezed
  17. or,in the interests of balance,can't do (i'm a bloody stirrer)

  20. at no time did anyone think liverpool were anywhere near, even nufc under robson came closer They finished above Man Utd in 2002 tbf. never in contention, like us in our 2nd runners up season.........then there was the season of our wins at arsenal and leeds(was it 2000-01?)when even ferguson said without bellamys injury we'd have ran them very close.probably mixing my season up

  22. Agree with this. There's 3, maybe 4 realistic and arguably better options available and we haven't even spoken to them. Stupid. names.?.....houlleir hardly challenged for the title with far superior resources, scolari, hasn't really built anything like we would need and little knowladge of the english game.....van gaal...my choice Koeman, Eriksson, Houllier & Scolari. possible,no explained and explained
