the bookies took a hiding today on the peterhead-forfar game according to this mornings independent.apparently word got round about forfars injury crisis which included only being able to name 3 subs in their last game, playing their reserve keeper as an out field player and registering their manager as a player. where as bookies would normally expect to take £300-£400 on a game like this they took £185,000. peterhead started out evens then came in to 1/2. final score peterhead 8 forfar 0

Surely you're better off with money on Arsenal to beat Charlton and/or T.Henry to score anytime - both odds on. (3/5 and 9/10) i've lost tooo much on arsenal, especially after champs league games.if they were at home i would have, and i never bet on goalscorers though the odds for him are surprisingly good.

anyone get stung in the northern ireland-spain game recently...done me for an 11timer(only 60 quid or so),but an 11timer would have been a record by some way for me.

first time i've ever heard of a trixie consisting of 4 teams...if you are picking 4 temas under those terms it's a yankee, the threefold version (crossfolded bets without singles)is a trixie and not that much safer as the overall bet will need to be of a larger stake . anyway, been pretty good over the last few years, reckon i've ended the seasons up by a couple of hundred per season, but spend the money as soon as won, decidied this season to stack winnings in order to increase stakes and minimise odds (ie 1/5 with £100 on is worth winning but not with a tenner on),so far after starting with a tenner i have £12.planning a £10 double on saturday with 2 from sunderland, bayern munich and werder bremen.

when did sven say that ? a lot was made of owens comments,a whole thread was devoted to them on here, many slagged him off until actually reading the quotes instead of somone elses take on them. also after the brum game wasn't there just one game left,i'd have been more concerned had he played v chelsea as it would seem he was just playing to get games under his belt to get ready for the world cup.
-
he never said he was fit or had been ready to play for a month,do stop spinning to try and further your cause. i'll ask again,do you not think if he'd been fit he'd rather have played a few games for us to get match fit.
-
Off the bench yes, as he could have maybe helped us snatch something late in a game. some people will say whatever it takes to "win" an argument.
-
hey kaka you've saw owens performances for england...do you reckon he was ready/fit enough to play for us in april ?
-
7 goals in 10 games says it all really Not bad.....but 15 goals in about 20 games! Now that would have really turned me on! You have to give him the benefit of the doubt though, he didn't mean break his foot it was a freak accident I realise this, but he could have acknowledged the Newcastle fans, instead of going on about how he would be fit in time for the world cup all the time. We were even more disappointed that he would be missing for Newcastle as our season was in absolute disarray at the time. To hear him going on about England at that point in time left a very bitter taste in my mouth. when asked by a national tabloid journalist about his chances for the world cup, whatshould his answer have been ?...had alan oliver asked him when he'd be back for us he may have answered

...and everyone else has a right to disagree i disagree, and i have the right to say that.
-
Thank you. A lot of people are upset with me because they know I am speaking the truth. The truth hurts sometimes. and yet most would think owen would want a few league games under his belt before heading off to the world cup.to get the very sharpness he has been missing
