  1. How significant are all these "signfiicants" ? Is "significant progress" further along than monitoring, preparing and all the other stuff ?
  2. We must've been stupid for keeping Smith, Luque etc till the end of their contracts when all we had to do was sell them.
  3. Hope you said No, for the sake of the team obvs.

rtg are. Have to say all the Mackems I know see their club as a huge mess, it was coming for years and as things stand they'll be happy to still be in the championship the season after is.
  5. XI Men in flight could have a challenger for my affections. Boo FK of Sweden, and if that wasn't good enough they play in the town of Nacka.

They had a net debt of 110 million in 2016, not sure how much is owed to the owner and how much to the bank. If Short is selling the club for 90 million and expecting all his loans repaid then it's 200 million for a champ club, with pathetic revenue, high wage bill, unfit for purpose squad and of course no manager. It's a rotten deal and no one should touch it. I doubt these rich fans have that sort of wedge, let alone access to the funds that they will need to operate the club. Whoever buys it the fans will need to hope they either strike it lucky with a crazy billionaire or more realistically Short decides it more trouble than it's worth and sells it for 40 - 50 million and wipes out his loans. Other than that their best hope maybe that Short has a change of heart and says "f*** it, I'm going to fund a big spending spree to get back up, then sell up when I get to the promised land", not likely to happen especially since he's been trying to sell the pile of crap for a while now without success. He'll do a Lerner. He'll take a hit just to get out.
  7. Ryder quickly deleting that tweet where he said the deal was unlikely then Did he rubbish this deal asell ? Thought it was the Aboubakar one.
  8. He's no Kante, probably more like James McCarthy if anything. William Carvalho would be the closest thing to a Kante in world football who is available, who will probably end up at Citeh. Kante wasn't a Kante till 2 or 3 years ago.
  9. He needs to be playing most weeks but I don't think I'd like him to be more than a squad player for us, so not too fussed if it doesn't come off.
  10. If he moves where would he likely to get better ?

Notice they don't mention the timeframe. My guess is "whenever"
  12. Apparently he was brought in on 25 April? If so, that's one day before the HMRC raids. Ssssshhhhhh man!
  13. Someone else, with no football business experience inbetween Charnley and the money is nothing to be worried about ?
  14. When exactly and it doesn't look good that if it was after last August, if he's been checking any deals, he's said "no".
  15. Yep, sounds f***ing great. "..managing director Lee Charnley has been forced to run most large financial decisions past him before he has been allowed to act by Ashley" This sounds like Vetere/Jimenez all over again. And if it's recent it would seem most large financial decisions seem to have been blocked.

Can only assume he's looked at what he was going to have to work with (staff and finances....particularly finances imo) and thought he's better off staying in Scotland. If the likes of Mcinness turns them down you have to wonder who'll take it on ?
  17. 10th July is apparently the date Sky/BT sport etc will annonce their fixtures for Aug/Sept. Why take so long ? Give fans as much time as possibly to make travel arrangments etc.
  18. If those are the sorts of teams that are going to 'rape' us we'll be getting relegated quite quickly. Didn't get as far down as Brighton tbf was more concentrating on Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City and Everton. Leicester and West ham to add to Brighton as games we should be looking to get points from. More concerned at the run of away games towards the end of the season if we are needing points.

When I say up front I mean they get at least that. It could well be spread over several payments.
  20. Quick flick through my roster and think this is the least swops and lieu days I've ever needed. Only 2 before Christmas. Is it a sign ?
  21. All 3 promoted teams have decent opening sets of games.
  22. Not too bad an opening set after Spurs.

It's 22mill up front with the rest potential (I'd guess England call up, Everton reaching champs league, so many games etc) so even if they get the lot it'll still be drip fed. Will the losses they're making plus the both of dropping down a division can they afford to reinvest that and will it be enough ?
