I'm not comparing Rafa to Pardew, just saying that even Pardew wouldn't have f***ed up what he have being a bigger and better team and squad than everyone else in this division, and yes I know we only have this squad because of Rafa, I'm talking purely tactics. It's you that needs to come on madras, you're living in a fantasy world if you think Pardew could get 9 wins in a row from a team that's weaker than the ones he had losing to everyone, regardless of the league. Pardew, who I don't rate got 6 straight wins in the premiership FFS. If you don't think he could get 9 when having a massiverly better squad than everyone else in a division below then you are lyinfg to yourself. But would Pardew have signed half the players that Benitez has done? You can definitely say he wouldn't have signed the person who turned out to be the top scorer in the Championship so far, he'd have probably tried to bring Wickham or Lambert here. Totally agree with you there. I was going more tacticallty etc (fwiw I think Mitrovic would have had as many goals as Gayle had he had the same game time.....I'd play both)

You aren't comparing Moyes and Benitez are you? Unlike some on here I've never rated Moyes, it's unbelievable he can still get a job. However seeing Gayle/Mitrovic isolated up front next season is not something to look forward to. What in the hell are you talking about, man? I'm talking about only playing one up front, something I'm fairly sure you don't like either. I'd have far less of an issue with it in the PL, to be fair. In the Championship I definitely want to see two strikers, but f***ing hell, as if you could draw a comparison with that lot. Doesn't even need to be an old fashioned 2 up front. Cole/Beardsley-Shearer/Bellamy were a supposed 2 up but much more a one up and one off with great support. With the personnel we have I believe that's what will get the best from us.

The Van Dijk tug in the Liverpool game, I think they called it right, it was a pull but nowhere near enough to stop the progress of the player.

reading (I think, when he really pushed on) i agree. But I'd go more of a 6/10. Slightly better than average.
