Don't Spurs have until 11 tomorrow morning? I think everyone else has. Spurs have till October.
-
You don't need to, if the deal is agreed in principal the medical can come later........at which point they can pull the plug.
-
Wouldn't be at all surprised if Tottenham match the bid, get him there then pull the plug at medical stage to spite us and Everton.
-
Apparently the club held off confirming the deal till Atsu changed his trousers, it's a stand off as we speak.
-
He was regularly, iirc mainly, used wide for France.
-
He certainly far from the biggest game changer, or a game changer at all considering he hasn't done that once for us. He's never once changed a game for us? His debut, the Norwich 6-2 and west Ham when we had to win. Not a lot to show for his time here mind.

it's not truth but your opinion and the last 20yrs were actually pretty good compared to the previous 20 when a few on here were spending cash going regularly to Shrewsbury, Carlisle, etc when were second tier and mediocre second tier at that. There are people I went with then who I'd say know nowt about the game and they'd say the Same if myself because it's really opinion.

It's an early bid, an unsettler if you will. Edge it up to 25 and and a transfer request and I think we'd have a deal. how much more unsettled can we get with Sissoko? Every man and his dog knows he's wanted away for a while. Unsettled enough to submit a transfer request, boosts the bidding teams bid by 10% iirc and could be the difference between moving and staying....see the Carroll transfer. maybe if this was a week ago but at this stage your paying a premium just because of how late in the day it is and Levy seems to want to do it on the cheap at the last minute which given the tv money everyone knows prem clubs have is not going to work. I don't think that premium exists with the player is obviously wanting away or the timing, it's purely the size of the bid, that 2.5 or 3 million could be the difference and that is in Sissoko's hands.

Maybe the position we were in stopped the decent owner/group being interested. I remember one or two looked at the books and ran a mile. (How many years have I just regressed through. ? Somewhere NE5 has just had a shiver down his spine!)

Hayden is better Better all round player maybe, as a solo DM I don't think so. It also gives us a really pushing on front 5 as opposed to a front 4. When teams sit back against us (we had goal kicks against Huddersfield and they had 10 men in their own half and one just inside our half, that was at 1-1) being able to play 20yds further up will be important.
-
I'd start him as the only holding midfielder if he's not gone by tomorrow night. (That reads like a threat doesn't it ?)
-
I would guess that counts for at least 10,000 on our current attendances, possibly more.
-
Who's the other two like ? Have to hand it to some players, they earn thousands a week but are so humble they dress like they are big issue sellers so as not to rub your nose in it.
-
You'd have to really and class it as learning from his mistakes.

Very overhyped as he is local. We have seen how good our youth players and signings have been over the last 5 years or so. We are aiming to be a top half premiership team again soon. We need better than Adam Armstrong for that He's 19 years old and just off the back of scoring 20 league goals in League 1. FFS. He still has plenty of time to develop and already shown more than the likes of Adam Campbell. By no means a guarantee that he will make it here but he's not really over-hyped by many on here, he's well thought of because he's done the business so far when given the chance. Now is the chance for him to show that again at the next level up. True. If he was a cockney we'd be saying he's exactly what we should be trying to get.

Away from the tackle on Haidara, I just don't think he's good enough so happy it's not supposedly happening.
-
Could depend on their salaries as much as their fees. We've been caught out in the past because players just won't take the drop in wages. My concern with Hanley and Clarke is that we really could be developing and giving the odd chance to our youngsters as 4th choice. I'd have kept Mbabu instead of buying those both.. I'm OK with Atsu I suppose but the WBA winger, I'd rather buy in an up and comer to develop.

They both seem to have some semblance of interest in playing for NUFC and mild athleticism, so they are improvements in that sense. Yet neanderthals when on the ball and incapable of reading the game. We've spent 10mill on standing still. I could understand just about buying one of them....why 2 ? Because we potentially have about 50 competitive games to play this season? Against teams with much smaller squads and I've already siad I'd have kept Mbabu instead of one of them two. Think about it, over 10million on back up players, two players neither you or I would put in our starting XI yet it seems like we'll "get by" up front, creatively in the middle and out wide. Still think we'll cruise promotion by the way, but we'll spend more and be less prepared than we should be. Purely my opinion.
-
Don't say that some people on here are still reflecting on the days when some of the 15 deadbeats we let go graced St James Some of those deabeats may have been replaced by deadbeats.

I'd agree with Krul but Wijnaldum would of had more calf strains and ankle knocks in this division than you could shake a stick at. Thats not what you said though.

Also any reason to believe from what we've seen that Hanley or Clarke or better than Colo at this level ? I don't mean from the the limited viewing for us either.
