no idea what that means. ah, rangers, i see now.
  2. you reckon ? they were brought into it last night when the FA said they (PFA) agreed with the set up (as did the LMA). with everyone slagging it off it's only to be expected that a pragmatist like Taylor would wait till he sees which way the winds blowing before speaking out.
  3. Well our good friends on RTG do like to tell us that Hall was really a mackem.

If Sunderland was bombed you'd never notice the difference. (in aid of give an old joke a home week)
  5. you're right that as he wasn't sent off then we would get nothing from it, however I wasn't aware that the club that was transgressed against had to get something from it but some sort of sanction HAS to be set to stop it happening, personally I've always been in favour of longer bans for violent play, 3 games being neither here nor there compared to possible broken leg or long term injury
  6. Say it loud enough and you'll eventually believe it. there is a bias, not necessarily against us alone though. can't help thinking had that tackle been on gerrard, lampard, giggs, bale ot tevez then the whole thing would've been handled differently.

there are teo variety of mackems, often the same people as there is a group think scenario going on. I've witnessed many normal mackems suddenly change when they are with other mackems. you also have to remember their complete lack of objectivity where we are concerned. rememeber cisse's goal V chelsea. had anyone else scored it, "wondergoal", had sessegnon scored it "greatest goal ever" but it was cisse "he just swung a leg, wasn't even going for goal". the same has happened with the haidara incident. I had to have a look at other boards to make sure it wasn't me looking at it from a black and white point of view but no, nuetrals viewed it pretty similar to how we did, only one place played it down. I'm actually looking forward to similar happening to one of theirs as I'm going to go to town on it. They have their fare share of knuckle-draggers, but then again so do we. no doubt but there mid point seems worse than us, just look at RTG. Is that place a fair reflection of mackems in general though? I know of mackems who think that place is as laughable as we do. Besides - when it comes to Sunderland, can we be objective towards them? no it possibly isn't but it is a snap shot that chimes with what I see and you'll find i've often defended mackems on here to say they aren't all "like that". also i'd say, from my experience it's a lot more than just football, the chip on the shoulder has been commented on by many from outside the area who come to the area.

  12. Hmm, sounds like cambridge 2-0, we only played "lay your love on me " 3 times that season. i thought it may have been QPR but i'm sure that was a "substitute" by Clout afternoon.
  13. what do you class as re-refereeing games ?going through every decision ? handing out retrospective yellow cards for a shirt pull ? it's not too bad as it is apart from the stupidity of whether the officials saw it or not when it's a violent incident. any violent incident that the officials miss or are deemed to have got wrong should be reviewed.
  14. one of the other clubs threads that i posted earlier were talking about whelans clout with the FA. probably nowt in it but when others are bringing it up, you never know.
  15. cos they are all bell ends ? Are bell ends normally purple? according to one of chubby brown's many catchphrases.
  16. what ujpest has done is to post something that sounds good, that it does us no good now, we don't get the points, but when it's examined it's a bit daft, he knows this but doesn't want to be seen to post that he didn't really think it through.
  17. Without these punishments existing, people will continue to perform the same crimes. This is relevant in football and in life. I think the kid knows he has done wrong and so does everyone else except Whelan and it wouldn't surprise me if martinez doesn't pick him for a couple of games anyway but it still won't help us. "You think the kid knows he has done wrong" This is based on what? The reassuring pat that he gave Haidara, having been told to by his team mate? Or the complete silence after the event? No apology from the player or the club, in fact they have done the complete opposite. Absolutely gutted they weren't all given a f***ing harsh punishment even though it wouldn't have directly affected our results. The result is all that matters and banning him won't change the result. so you don't agree with any bannings ? Not after the event. They're a deterrent man you mentalist, if there were no bans then most games would consist of players kicking each other aheight. Didn't happen in the past before the FA reviewed every thing the ref missed on dvd. players did get banned though and you've said you are against it.

Back to the good old days of not having trial by tv after games. you mean back to the bad old days of players getting kicked out of games.

  21. Ignoring the examples given, you are saying you don't want the player who has assaulted our player punished? You aren't bothered he has gotten away with it? I am bothered he didn't get sent off, but banning him after the event doesn't help us one iota. it may not help us but there has to be a punishment for it. I wasn't aware when players are sent off then banned that the ban had to be to the benefit of the team transgressed against.
