  1. Got it all sorted, booking it tonight when I get in from work. My mate went and sorted it 10 minutes after the draw so now got to copy his plans to avoid being on me own! Fancy sharing your plans? Im not sure whether to fly to Faro or go direct to Lisbon from London. Please don't take me wrong but that's the most weird signature I have ever seen. Are you masochistic or something like that? Why on Earth would someone like to be remembered all the time that he's married? Haha, i've just never taken it off after getting married. so it's not to be read in conjunction with the churchill quote ? Now you say that, yes TBF we found out last week that she's pregnant so marriage doesn't seem to bad Is he yours? JK Congrats http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lmr6pauJdN1qjeg72.gif might be yours. you seem to know it's a he. Busted How do you say in english when you don't know the gender? In portuguese every word that you don't know the gender or it's in plural whe say the male noun. Like: filho (son), filha (daughter), filhos (children, could be 2 or more sons or a son and a daughter) it's a "neesy".
  2. should be like he was against chelsea. not wide nor central, same with marveaux and gouffran.

  5. The mutual dislike of Sporting Lisbon is a plus point. Sunderland and Graeme Souness too Graem Souness is a massive c***! Only brought trash players with him! His times at Benfica Newcastle were definitly some of the lowest of our history. You guys dislike Sporting Sunderland because of that 4-1, right?! But that was in '04 '79... if you have faced it the last 4/5 years, you guys would completly kill them. They are complete trash, right now... In fact they are so trash, even Sunderland Sporting would destroy them! scary aint it,

Out of interest, how many players do you know who have had the opportunity to "start for 60 minutes away from home in sub-zero temperatures on a dodgy surface as their return game back from a lengthy layoff."? Other than of course players who ply their trade in countries like Russia, and therefore will indeed "start for 60 minutes away from home in sub-zero temperatures on a dodgy surface as their return game back from a lengthy layoff." Zero off the top of my head, but you don't need to have experience of a given flame you've not seen before being hot, to know you probably shouldn't stick your hand in it. FWIW, when he returns from injury, I probably wouldn't start HBA for 60 minutes against any opposition we happen to be facing at the time who also happen to ply their trade on any other unfamiliar surface where we know injuries can be aggravated/exacerbated (cf. Jonas/Shola). He played most of the game against Tottenham though at the start of the season and looked excellent, I don't really think it matters about how long you play or the surface if you are physically fit ("match fit" just being how sharp you are)? I'm not a physio therapist like, but that's how I've always seen it, and I don't think a player should be playing AT ALL if he isn't fully recovered from his injury, regardless of the pitch an temperature. To me it looks like we've thought the injury was gone, and regardless of whether he played 60 minutes in Russia or 20 minutes in the Bahamas there was always going to be an unseen risk of him aggravating his hamstring. Mate, it's all a bit of a moot non-argument for me. Like you, I'm no physiotherapist (and I'd be happy enough for someone with the relevant knowledge to stick their oar in and set me straight if need be) and I'd also be in favour of veering on the side of caution in not letting injured players play if they're in the least injured, but even when players recover from injury - starting matches is uncommon. They have cameo appearances off the bench to build fitness in a real-tempo environment, and to recover sharpness. I don't think I'd be wrong to say it's at least uncommon for players to return from injury in such a manner, starting a game. You can't reduce the risk of re-aggravating an injury to nil, but I'd say you could certainly mitigate the chances more than we did. As for the surface, I'm not agree - but again, have no scientific expertise to back me up on this. My friend, who is a fairly serious cross-country runner, told me to run on grass instead of on the pavement around my park because with each step we take, we apparently put three times our bodyweight on our knee-joints when we run on concrete. He may be talking bollocks, it may not be applicable to HBA etc etc,..... but it doesn't seem unfathomable to me that the surface you play/run on could contribute to the wear and tear of our bodies I accept we were possibly backed into a corner by Cisse being injured though. Anyway, not going to bother discussing about it any further, all a bit depressing/pointless mulling over it now. aye fair enough. fairly sure there was an article about the time we had drunken duncan with that german woman (kind of the european Spearman....it was spearman that bellamy went to in the states wasn't it ?) when she said that sometimes the only way to find out about some sorts of injuries is to try them.
  7. everyone here liked him but it never worked out. didn't have the pace or strength for the premier league. what we called a "typical" european, all technique.
  8. I was in the Gallowgate, you now know a little more. and I am sitting here with the programme. saturday 7th august 1971. KO 3pm. cost all of 5p.

if wea are to continue with the 3 behind the 1, then we don't need wingers as all the players we have for the 3 are more than capable of drifting out to find space out wide, players who can play across that line or up front through the middle are more suited to what we have.

You better throw in the expertise of the Clairefontaine French centre too the, they clearly had as little an idea about the severity of this. are you aware of context, for example it's often said thet someone is doing well just after a heart transplant, it doesn't mean they are ready for a marathon, just better than the shape they were in. "fantastic condition" is somewhat better than "doing well". It was only a day or 2 later he was moaning about how unfit he was too btw, while still saying he could be back for the next game. Give it a rest, man. I know it's a thread to discuss and debate Hatem ben Arfa, and now his injury, so I'm guessing all that's pretenced it too... but oh my word you're boring. LOVE it when lurkers call me boring Another one did it a few weeks ago saying I'd made 1 good post or something. Put me on ignore, sweetheart. Lurker. I just chose to think about what I say (usually). I've read all your chat from the moment you signed up with your hilarious reasoning. You've just gone on and on and on about the same thing for weeks, man. Go outside or something. sounds familiar

He was fit obviously but are those conditions really the ideal ones for a comeback game? Of course not. tbf he'd have been training in/on similar conditions/pitch at the training ground.

bit concerned by his reaction, ketsbaiaesque and didn't seem happy.

he's coming a lot deeper since gouffran and sissoko came, i'm assuming it's to drag the defence up in order to try and springboard gouffran/sissoko in behind. if so i wonder if they'll persevere with it so much when ben arfa returns.

Just read the thread, it's either an in joke or it's genuinely concerning how many have mentioned shitting somewhere in his house like it's the first thing that would to their minds and normal it's almost as if wormy's became a mackem. literally the worm that turned.
  16. whats with the fascination with direct replacements ? gouffran has taken ba's place on the team sheet but his role is nothing like what ba's was so in that respect he's no ba replacement.
  17. carolls movement up here was quite decent and he put in some fantastic crosses form the left. however since leaving he's been asked to play very cerntral and just to use his head. i wouldn't mind the player that left here. not sure i want the players he now seems to be or the person back.

The prime issue is whether Short will keep funding the losses, but FFP is now an issue for them because of the scale of those losses. The UEFA regulations theoretically require these to be €5M, but IIRC allow you to lose €45M over the next two seasons (2013/14 and 2014/15), as long as the owner covers it. Sunderland are already in line to be well over this amount. If they go down they will be in serious trouble. FFP only means anything if you're in Europe, don't they? a version of FFP is being adopted by the premier league isn't it ?
  19. History tells us it may be the other way round. colo was shite till he settled beside taylor, who was the better player at the start of the championship season and has been the equal defensivly of colo when fit. colo, however is much better with the ball when in possession.
  20. Can't remember if I've already made a prediction but as of now, for all I want it to be QPR, the mackems and west ham,I think it'll be reading, Southampton and villa.

they have but i think they can get enough points from their home games to get to safety. it could be scary for them mind as I think they'll get nothing from the 4 games after norwich.
  22. looks much nicer in real life, really nice personality seemingly aswell. when they first came over she went with her hubby when he went to school trips for the club. the staff at the bairns school were wowed by her.
