  1. I'd imagine there's professional wags.
  2. Hopefully. My gut feeling is they've said "STFU gayz lol n well let u goez ROFL!!11!"
  3. Even if he turns out to be a bit shit I'd still like him because he's a committed lefty
  4. There was a quote from their sporting director saying they were going to discuss things with his agent/lawyer once the game was out of the way. There should be an update this evening because they are guests on a football show over there. I expect we'll know what's going to happen before we play Man Utd. It's debatable whether or not this interview will help matters, funny as it is. Probably not, the more he winds OM up the less inclined they will be to give in to his demands. Whatever his ability on the pitch or the inconsistency of OM’s position, he is behaving in a thoroughly unprofessional manner, there's not really much room for spite. Although they are French. I doubt it. If he refuses to play for them I'm sure they'd rather have him off the wage bill. As ridiculous as OM have acted so far at the end of the day they're running a football club and one not in a hugely healthy financial position.
  5. Pretty sure I read somewhere that we'd taken the lowest available allocation for the first three away games. Why would we do that? http://www.nufcblog.org/2010/08/the-story-of-the-disappearing-away-seat-allocation-part-2/#comment-107547 Thanks. What an absolute joke it is tbh; the excuse they gave was beyond feeble: “It is a careful balance between ensuring that supporters have the opportunity to buy tickets for away matches (and having a strong vocal support for these games) and ensuring that we mitigate the risk of being left with unsold tickets that we have to pay for. If we are left with a remnant of tickets this is wasted money that cannot be spent elsewhere, for example, player investment.” As if we couldn't sell 3000 tickets for man u when we took 8000 to Barnsley on a weeknight. NUFC getting it so so wrong again for the sake of 50 grand. Oh, and only 1100 tickets for Wolves away. They went on general sale so we probably couldn't.
  6. It's up there with Fat Fred and Sky's long shots of him and Michael Owen at a Northumberland hotel isn't it?
  7. Notts County Think about it. Sol Campbell, Magpies...he's been sold out.
  8. According to the Sun's Steve Brenner: "Word from France is Ben Arfa to talk with NUFC over weekend. I'm told he went mad to get move, chairs thrown & all sorts."
  9. Aye, wor lass feigned interest for a couple of hours before pretending to be asleep. (OI! Nee innuendo!) I think it was too complex for wor lass too. In the end she let me look at my phone and get the latest news For what it's worth I can't imagine we weren't involved in getting him here. Any denial is Hughtonesque.
  10. This thread has ruined my evening. I'm sure I wasn't the only person to open the "what's wrong hun?" conversation with "well...there's a lad called Hatem..." On the plus side my lass is well up on the transfer deal
  11. Christ, I can see the next 17 pages of this thread being dedicated to the layout of Newcastle Airport That is the airport and that looks a lot like him.
  12. That's the lovechild of Angelos Epithemiou and Leon Best
  13. That's a chipmunk. Spidermunk! Monkfish! http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/fastshow/characters/images/monkfish.jpg
  14. Apparently he was well chuffed getting off his flight. He had won £5 on his easyjet scratchcard and opted for a tea and twix snack deal. Apparently he talked Unite into going on strike.
  15. I don't think it's close, I think we could be in this thread in two weeks time discussing the same thing, but I'm not about to throw my toys out of the pram and demand the head of Ashley on a stick. Neither am I but sooner or later Ashley has to come up with some genuine quality signings. Looking for players who near the end of their contracts and hoping they'll agitate enough to force their club to release them isn't the worst ploy, but it's all a bit hit and hope. I completely agree and it's a case of when it works it's genius and when it doesn't it's a pain in the arse. Like I said earlier I wouldn't want to second guess our next move.
  16. At least you've calmed down a bit
  17. I don't think it's close, I think we could be in this thread in two weeks time discussing the same thing, but I'm not about to throw my toys out of the pram and demand the head of Ashley on a stick.
  18. i wish someone could offer a reasonable explanation as to why he'd go to these lengths to join us, i really do He's desperate for the Bigg Market clunge.
  19. According to L'Equipe Hatem Ben Arfa is prepared to go on strike to get a move to us even if it means being fined and not being involved in France's Euro 2012 qualifiers.
  20. But blind conjecture posted on here by a bunch of spotty social rejects about the clubs transfer policy is more reliable? Makes sense.
  21. According to Mark Douglas in the Journal despite the hard talk from OM we're still negotiating with them.
  22. And miss the bipolar ramblings of some on here? Not a bloody chance.
