  1. I believe we should wait until the transfer window closes before whinging because the club has a track record of pulling deals out of their arse which no one, press nor fans, knew about. After that I plan to be indulging in some world class moaning though, believe you me. such as? Gutierrez, Xisco, Routledge, Best, Williamson etc. We manage to get a lot of things done on the hush nowadays. but why are we waiting until the end of the transfer window, after 3 games have been played, we all know it'll come down to 1 or 2 points, and you've wasted 3 games of the season to bed in your new signings! this club will never ever learn from it's previous mistakes under this regime It's not really a Newcastle thing, it's just the way the market works nowadays because of the transfer window. It's a sellers game.
  2. Got a text of my mate saying Bullard was out and about in town last night and when he asked him he we're getting him on loan.

  5. I can't decide whether the editorial direction of the Sunday Sun (i.e. just making stuff up) was directed by or forced upon him. Either way it must be difficult producing new content for a Sunday newspaper when the Ronny Gill and Journal are all over any rumour that comes out the rest of the week. He should still give Crumpy his £30 though.
  6. That's not as mental as it sounds considering Deschamps was third choice for the Newcastle job when Allardyce fucked off behind Redknapp and Keegan
  7. The final straw for me was relegation, it should've been for everyone else too but people were willing to give him an easy ride when we were the best team in an inferior league. Missing out on HBA is bugger all in the grand scheme of big Ashley f*** ups, why people are only starting to get het up now I have no idea. Heh, weren't you defending him the last couple of days? No, I just find the suicidal nature of some people on here over this one deal a bit pathetic. He's done much worse things, many of which have already been excused or forgotten about. I think some people struggle to see the sun for the moon at times. I was shouting for his head on a stick the best part of 24 months ago, just because I can no longer be arsed to fly into a rage whenever we do something which can be mildly construed as typically Ashleylike doesn't mean I like the fucker.
  8. It's hard to blame him entirely for this one particular deal, but his transfer policy in general is a fucking joke. It's very rare that a club will add any money onto an already agreed deal at the behest of the selling club, let alone find another £4/5 million from somewhere so I'm not surprised we stuck to our guns but the fat cunt needs to find the middle ground between doing things on the cheap and throwing silly money at shite.

  10. Have you paid any attention to what went on the previous 206 pages?
  11. Expected tbh. Marseille have acted like French and we've acted like an outfit ran by Mike Ashley.
  12. Some do, the majority are indulging in the typical "lol werst playa eva!1!1! Jawdee Kevin Kyle rofl!" bollocks which is to be expected. He's a good young player, they want to talk him down. I thought he played well last night without being outstanding but that was due to the fact he was without a partner and had to chase his own flick ons. I was very impressed that he won as many ariel battles with their centre backs as he did and on the floor he's continually improving. He's an absolute asset in defensive set pieces too, he does the job Coloccini isn't capable of doing.
  13. Harper 5 - Could've done slightly better for the first and much better for the third. Perch 4 - Shocking the the first half, slightly better in the second. Williamson 7 - Our MOTM. Had Rooney's number. Colo 6 - Reading the game better than he did in his last stint in the top flight but made it slightly too easy for Fletcher to turn and shoot for the second. Jose 6 - Had a good battle with Valencia, dropped a bollock for the third. Routledge 5 - Went down too easily, too often. Always tried to do more than he needed. Smith 4 - Shit. Barton 4 - Shit. Jonas 5 - Doesn't look fully match fit yet. Beat their fullback a few times though but his final ball was surprise, surprise, lacking. Nolan 4 - Shit. Carroll 6 - Chased his own flick ons all day long, looks like a better player on the ball than I gave him credit for. Needs a partner.
  14. there does not appear to be another offer on the table That hasn't stopped teams before.
  15. We can take more positives than expected from the game, such as our defending (not including Perch). Once again though our problem is our midfield sits so far back and is so static we invite pressure. 3-0 was a fair result but it was far from a disaster.
  16. I don't think him leaving has ever been in any doubt really, they just wont accept our offer.
  17. And he'll drop Barton, Guthrie, Nolan and Smith just like that? If there's any truth in the Rios/nondescript Ivory Coast midfielder story then it looks like he will.
  18. Impossible to say where we'll finish. I saw much, much worse performances than ours this weekend.
  19. Aye. A week ago I'd be expecting a 5, 6-0 defeat- now I'm actually feeling a sort of nervous positive- Lucky you. I'm shitting myself If we get a tonking it does not bode well. One, two or even three-nil would be tolerable but any more than that would be a disaster. tbf I've woken up nervous about this fuckin game for the past two days! I was fine until my mate rang be this evening to let me know what time he'd be round to pick me up for the trek to Mancland. Now I'm bargaining with the almighty. "Let them win only by a couple and I'll settle for Ben Arfa on the last day of the transfer window. Please."
