He said "Newcastle". Here's hoping he joins us one day!

Probably one of the most talented players I've ever seen, he was at his pinnacle for Inter when I started watching them and Italian football. Wasted his talent, though. I remember watching his debut against Brescia on channel 4 year ago.......... scored a cracking goal from the half way line.

Agree too.
-
Thought it was daft sending Aquilani on loan.

In a simplistic B&W view I agree, but why let other NTs get one up on us when we can also take advantage of the situation? I'm gonna get labelled with the 'needless, over-the-top, patriot' label here - but it's up to nations like us - who gave the world the game - to set a benchmark of what's actually correct. The whole thing is a load of bollocks and absolutely should not be allowed. If we start doing the same thing we're only succumbing to one of the games biggest flaws. It's an [unfair advantage if you ask me, rather than an advantage, and i'd rather win something with a bit of honour. Yep, didn’t Qatar actually pay for couple of Brazilians to play for them? I definitely remember watching them having a Uruguayan in their team!

I can see the ambiguity when it comes to players like Shola (arf) or Moses, who came over as kids (5 and 11 respectively) - they're schooled here and grow up in the English way of life. Someone like Arteta is just here working, he's no more English than I am Spanish. yep, that's it.

I think it should be about the blood or by growing up in this country. (Say up to 16 years old, for example)
-
You should be shot for having one.

they played blackpool at home

Athletic, dynamnic, physical. Offers a lot defensively and covers a lot of ground, but is also reasonably comfortable technically and should also get forward to help. Even if he's not that good for us technically, his physical attributes will improve us no end. I hadn't noticed it from when I saw him play but the Dutch guy I asked on another forum said he's also indisciplined at times and a rush of blood to the head is never far round the corner. So he'll probably wrack up cards. sounds like you're stereotyping to me.

Are you saying the majority of people on here didn't watch the Ivory Coast in the World Cup? Quite a few have ESPN as well. Ok... I'll just wait for someone to tell me what's he's all about then.
-
BTW, does he have any favoured moves?
-
always thought he's overrated.

Wasn’t being serious tbh. Although I find over excitement here about his signature, without even seeing him play, a lot worse. I've seen him play. I bet the majority haven't. but tell us, is he any good then? strengths? weaknesses?
-
I'd like something a bit more current. Although I'm very pleased at his stellar goalscoring record. what do you expect from shooting and long shots of 10?

yeasterday!

To think we were linked with him on loan this time last year. Will become way too good for Tottenham in the long term. He'd be more of a Chelsea, Man U standard.
-
that's because, at times, pace is the pretty much the only thing he displays. But I still think he will come good.

I don't think the owners were even that commited to bringing someone like him here anyway. Probably they were just stringing CH (and us) all along.
