Possible solution: The Super League is to finish x weeks before the conclusion of the domestic season in order to 'give notice' to the PL clubs that a fourth relegation spot would be 'up for grabs'. (Similar principle in Scotland)

Not suggesting I would like to see it happen, but the general format of the following might be the best shot: One or two Super Leagues consisting of the best teams in Europe playing each other 2x times a season with a winner and relegation spots. The rest of the domestic leagues carries on as normal - but the teams that are promoted to the super league are the Champions League winners and Europa League winners. (So, the winner of the CL for the following season competes in Super League 1 and the winner of the Europa League in Super League 2) Have a wank on that, Infantino!
