  1. Yes, thanks for the history lesson there, alex.
  2. Like arshavin's seen Keegan's interview ffs. Is sky sports news popular behind the iron curtain?
  3. Was just about to make that point about santa cruz. 31 in 155 in germany.
  4. Faye should be in (Taylor? Given? ) but aye, it's Habib by a country mile.

    Only if we're interested first.
  6. The fact that Faye's and Charlie's contracts were both signed under Ashley's reign kind of puts a spanner in the works of this little tale. Must be the same source who last week claimed Oba cost £7m.
  7. http://www.toffeeblue.com/newcastle-united-a-laughing-stock/ Just when I'd forgotten how bitter the Scouse Mackems can be... Stereotype-tastic.
  8. Bet he is, you know. Him and *he who shall not be named*.
  9. Says we've offered €20m Euros for this Veloso bloke but they might want €30m and if they do, Moutinho is our alternative. Has a clause of €25m but if they knock back a €15m bid then they have to give Moutinho 10% of the offer over that. Or something.
  10. Boro are letting him go for a reason. He's been shit for them.
  11. You'd think Spurs were fucking Barcelona. Kudos on Ramos getting them to 11th like. Some feat.

    Summer's definitely here.
  15. Boro evening gazette running with the smith story, basically a rehash of oliver's story though. Talk of a 3-5m fee, i'd genuinely give him away personally.
  16. If we were paying players on what they'd justified on the field, smith would be lucky to get 25-30 quid, never mind thousand.
  17. I'd laugh a rib up if they signed smith.
  18. The big four can't sign every player in europe. No-one went after alves at boro, he's looking good now, six in nine. I'd rather buy a berbatov for 10m than wait until someone else buys him then have to shell out 30m. Some people will say that's a more ambitious approach though, bizarrely. i know nowt about this lad but not taking a risk for the sake of paying more is a recipe for failure more often than not.
  19. You can't lump the defence altogether as one and say the current back four is not good enough! Bet beye, faye, taylor and enrique have a decent record as a unit other than one or two abberations where the whole team collapsed. Hardly fair to say 'look how many this mob conceded' when enrique barely got a run out for months bey and faye were in africa for weeks.
  20. I've probably been more gutted at other results over the years but when derbyshire was bearing down on harper, i'm not sure I've ever felt as low as a football fan. Felt like the end.
  21. I know, footballers, money, their share of the tv deal, etc etc but it can't be just me to find a footballer quitting a club where he's pretty well liked and reasonably settled because his wage is being cut from £120,000 a week to £80,000 a week making me feel slightly queasy. NB: I don't believe the above rag for one microsecond but there are players who would, just the thought depresses me.
