  1. Depends what competition, English football doesn't use multi-ball so it's generally the same ball unless something happens to it. Obviously I know the above post is about the World Cup.
  2. Dunno what sort of team Marseille have put out but they're getting absolutely smashed at Bournemouth. Currently 5-0.
  3. Meanwhile Ashley's laughing his cock off at you. Money for nothing. He does what the fuck he likes, even when it deliberately makes the team worse, and you keep piling cash in his pocket for it.

"A decent team against Braga" - 100% of the outfield made up of players from the Championship two years ago.

Keegan had it in his contract, came out in the court case. Think every manager has had it. He doesn't want an asset walking away.

Because he'll owe them a significant amount of money if he breaks the contract. Only reason.

The mind boggles at how little self respect those who still put their money towards this must have. I know there's loads of you on here but please, for fuck's sake, STOP.
  8. Aye there's a thread on here along the lines of "who's this fucking no-hoper we're after from Arab Contractors SC ffs?"
  9. The assumption as always with these things is that the player would have been as good under the tutelage of the brains at NUFC as they were elsewhere. I don't really remember us being seriously in for Griezmann but if we'd signed him from Sociedad, he'd probably have made a few sub appearances, looked a bit lightweight, gone down as a flop and ended up trying to drag his reputation back up again for Celta Vigo, at considerable financial loss to NUFC. Meanwhile Remy Cabella went to Atleti instead and just scored 3 goals at the World Cup while we rue missing out on him.
  10. It'll be creative accounting. Italian clubs are always at it and Milan are ran by a group of shysters n all. I thought Milan were supposed to be on the bones of their arse financially? Didn't realise Bonucci was going back the other way.

Jesus wept “When I sacked Julen I immediately called Hierro and told him I didn’t want to make any changes. Two days later a letter arrived from Newcastle saying ‘Are you interested in our coach? He’s at your disposition.’ We said thanks but no,” Rubiales told Spanish radio station Cadena COPE on Tuesday. “We would have never done that, we couldn’t hire Benitez because it would have been acting in the same way for which we reproached Julen.”
  12. Depends what you mean by purpose. If someone feels some innate desire to say write, explore, make art etc how do you know that is not something deeply within them that they simply have to play out in this life? What reason do you have to discard that as an illusion of purpose? This is not the exchange I expected to see upon opening this thread.
  13. Aye Sissoko ran down the wing past a couple of players in the Euros final and it genuinely added about £10m onto his fee. Very odd.
  14. I reckon he'll score freely once he gets going fwiw.
  15. Not really like. If we had any intention whatsoever of playing him sometime then maybe but we clearly want rid and Fulham know that. Surprised we even got £22m tbh Spurs regularly get fees like that for players they clearly don't want and don't rate. They bought Kevin Wimmer for £4m, played him 15 times in 2 seasons and sold him to Stoke for £18m. They'd negotiate an enormous fee for Mitrovic given the last six months.
  16. Spurs/Liverpool would be getting £30m+ easy.
  17. I posted most of those already you cretin. Almost all the extra ones you've added are nothing other than perfectly reasonable replies to a football post on a football forum, and not in fact "like a pack of wolves". God yes, I can see what you mean, sorry. Totally uncalled for. Retrospective bans for the above.
  18. Never happened. I'm glad we were able to clear things up though.
  19. I'm not upset, it's nothing more than your interpretation. I'm highlighting it because nowadays it seems that every time someone expresses an opinion that's that doesn't 'fit in', people get slagged off by those certain sections of the forum. Pathetic, childish and petty. Not to mention cowardly (as people relay on each other for back up knowing that support is not too far away for them). I remember before we played Man City at SJP (0-2 Yaya brace), most people on here were very confident about us getting a result and there was a feeling in the air of almost arrogance about it. After the match, I expressed my opinion that was along the lines that Pardew's tactics were too cautious and that we should have done better by playing a more attacking game. Needless to say, the majority of the usual members jumped on me stating things among the lines "it's Man City, man", "they're champions", blah blah blah, etc. Clearly, the following season, which we then knew more about Pardew, showed that I was well and truly right in criticising him (irrelevant how good a season we had - something which most people clearly were blinded by!). It was that day that I thought the majority of fuckers on here are nothing more than conformists who adopt the same opinion as the 'popular' members on here for one reason or another - mainly because they're ball-less to express an opinion that might 'stand out'. And it's not an anonymous forum for many, I've been here, and around previous NUFC boards, for nearly two decades now - hardly something that's not important when it comes to the online experience. Anyway, am I not invited to the barbeque or what? You made only two post match posts and got two replies. This is your entire exchange after that match: How can you be bitter? When we pushed men forward they counter-attacked us to death. If we had done that from the beginning then we would have been f***ed. It was an excellent game plan but the execution was just short. If we had held out for five more minutes, they would have had to push up and who knows what could happen. We certainly weren't going to beat them going head on. Did you watch them dominate against Man Utd? No, I didn't want us to go gun-ho and attack them from the off. But I felt we could have found a better balance between containment and attack. (i,e, against Man Utd) Anyway, it's not as if Man City aren't good at winning tight games. Just a bit disappointed in our approach to the game, we proved all season that we can spring a surprise or two. Don't think our players looked that comfortable out there playing cautiously for that long. City are brutal though. Aguero, Tevez and Nasri can slice teams apart. You have to keep in mind that Manchester United could offer nothing against them earlier this week. We have over-achieved all season and whilst we have a lot of heart (probably more than any of the top five teams), playing against world class players is never going to be easy. You've been carrying that chip round on your shoulder for six years.
  20. Augsburg's a fucking hilarious choice of home showpiece friendly like. Used to invite Barcelona, Valencia, Juventus, Bayern. Now it's Vitesse, Verona and fucking Augsburg.
  21. Nah SD have reduced it to £55, DW selling at £58 Start Fitness are selling it at £55. Local company, no money to Ashley. I’m getting my away top from there, might pop in for some running trainers as well. No money to Ashley who owns the football club? Don't buy the shirt at all you fucking lemon.
