    Shola Ameobi

Course he's grateful to Ashley, the team being so shit for so long meant Shola was kept around.
  3. Tonight's game is free on Sky One.
  4. Can we possibly get John Carver to publicly show us the statement signed in crayon like the last one?
  5. I have no doubt he planned the HOF buyout news to land this morning. "This'll wind them up even more *snigger*"
  6. KI This window has all but guaranteed the departure of Rafa Benitez and should be viewed in that context, not "ooh Schar might be good, 7/10".
  7. When I'm in Spain, Bet365 usually works on my mobile data but blocks me on local wifi.
  8. Keep forgetting he hiked the ST prices. Shamelessly taking the piss.
  9. are we able to still make loan signings from abroad till the end of august? No.
  10. Don't underestimate the negative effect on a squad of having a manager who they know isn't sticking around, especially when it's Rafa Benitez. It rarely goes well.
  11. It's all the TV money man, everyone's got this much, including us. The TV money can't explain the transfer fees and wages, shirley ? It's over 100m. We got £120m in TV money for 17/18 Surely Fulham can't be within FFP, they've gone mental, what they bring in to what they spend, they haven't had any of the TV money yet have they, possibly £40m like we did in July but this is nuts. No they haven't had the money yet, and we used that excuse not to spend any money last summer - didn't even bother with making up another lie this year. The money is guaranteed, and if they stay up, which they have an extremely good chance of doing now, they'll guarantee themselves another £100m+. Other clubs pay in instalments so they don't need £60m at their fingertips to spend that much money. They know they'll get it in due course so it's fine, as long as they don't go down of course, even then the parachute payments take the edge off so much now that it poses little threat, especially with big assets to sell in the event of relegation. We insist on paying all at once so we can plead poverty in the press.
  12. Sunderland did it for years and it worked out well for them.
  13. I'm sure you know this like but enough was enough many years ago. Next summer, Rafa will walk and enough will be enough. And so on and so forth.
  14. It's all the TV money man, everyone's got this much, including us.
  15. Everton get Andre Gomes too.
  16. It's not like. Lejeune's injured until the very late stages of the season and Dummett can't play centre half when he's the only senior left back on the books. You can't go into a Premier League season with only 3 available centre halves. You can't go with only 1 left back either like but here we are.
  17. Does 'Nicko' still spend all his spare time stringing along those Blackburn fans with his utter bullshit?
  18. Even three years ago the idea of Bournemouth or Huddersfield breaking our transfer record would have been utterly absurd. Bournemouth have spent eight seasons above the third tier in their entire history ffs.
  19. I love this. Even if it was just The Chronicle airbrushing out his logos in their photos it would be a start. I sent an email to the editor years ago pleading with them to do this while they were banned, never got a reply.
  20. Can't be doing with that Alex after the slagging him and his mates on there gave to the Sack Pardew business. Not interested in a word he says.
  21. You cannot criticise people for going to the match - everyone has their reasons for going, some taking their kids, some it's a form of escape (good or bad) from daily life, others (like the guy I sit next to) have been going since the 70s - it's in his DNA to go. I honestly don't believe he would care if attendance figure dropped as the TV is that much these days. What I think he would/does care about is bad publicity - he even dragged himself in from of a House of Commons committee to defend himself. We need coordinated protests - in numbers - like Liverpool fans did. It needs to make the national press - not the likes of the Chronicle for him to care. And it needs to be constant until he's gone. And stop shopping at SD in Northumberland street. All I stated was a fact. Ashley is laughing at you, and everyone who turns up. He definitely bought the right club. German fans will boycott games if they put €5 on the ticket prices, we've had the absolute piss taken for more than ten years and the place is still packed. That man thinking "What mugs this lot are, I take a shit on their lawn and they pay me for the privilege" should be more than enough reason to walk.
  22. Ronaldo's gaff must be like a fucking ball pool.
