  1. Actually Gouffran genuinely shopped chasing his man. Fucking obscene non-entity of a footballer.
  2. He's done this before - waited for a game that we're guaranteed to lose, puts Ben Arfa in then uses him as the scapegoat. It'll work too.
  3. Aye, it's definitely "effort" that is the main difference between these two sides.
  4. It's fast paced, front foot football mate. Not sure where the confusion comes from.
  5. Gouffran's offered less than nothing for months. He's in the team because he runs round a bit and on the evidence of Tuesday, he's now given up on that too.
  6. Gouffran should have been bombed out after his last disgraceful performance.
  7. Similar ball to Ben Arfa's against Palace from Kagawa. Quality.
  8. He's missed three games so has trebled the bullshit this week.
  9. Poisonous individual, Scudamore.
  10. They should have included the Notting Hill carnival.
  11. Sheer wummery from the bloke at the moment like. He's picking all his most gruesome flaws and just denying them, without even being prompted. "I would never act like a complete cunt on the touchline. I'd certainly never stick the nut on one of the opposition either. Not my style baby." "Thanks Alan, my question was actually whether Davide Santon might be back this weekend but cheers anyway."
  12. A winning mentality. Next week on BBC Newcastle, Vurnon Anita explains how he plans to use his aerial ability to help us climb the table.
  13. Bit of a problem if you've got to decide whether to spend money on him.
  14. Pardew's entire footballing philosophy at Newcastle has depended entirely on having a goal machine up front that he can depend on lock, stock and barrel without having to create chances across the rest of the team. A non scoring striker is simply a non starter, Cisse has been that at times and that put us in deep trouble... and at least he has missed plenty, de Jong hasn't even had a proper chance yet, he lacks even the positional sense to manage that. And he can't do the Leon Best role either because for a big bloke, even Shola wins a lot more in the air. Do I think he's better than he's shown so far? Probably. Would I take the chance on him? Absolutely no way, not at this stage. I just meant from the point of view of us actually having a third choice striker. Which we haven't had since Best. Wasn't claiming they were particularly similar players, though I think De Jong's looked okay with his back to goal. Wasn't a reply to you specifically, simply the people who say he'd be a good "foil" for another striker who can score. I just don't see anything to suggest it might be the case. Someone said he was "outstanding" against Hull. We scored four goals and he never so much as touched the ball in the build up to any of them.

  16. Ashley would offer $3.2m for him.
  17. Not sure what those who would still like to see us sign him have seen like.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

When we win games, Pardew never changes the side. If Hatem started a match that we won convincingly, he would start the next game. That just hasnt seemed to happen this season for various reasons. Ben Arfa started against Stoke at home. We won 5-1, he had a big hand in 3 goals (including an assist as well as winning a penalty for the second game running) and was dropped for the next game.
  19. Funny how I never heard him spinning this shit again before we played Everton. Fucking cunt.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

In this team, Robert would have been receiving the ball far too deep to do much damage, like Ben Arfa does, which is why he has to try and run the length of the pitch so often. There would have been nobody in the box and nobody who could head a ball properly. It's a very unfair comparison.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Pardew doesn't want anyone in the wide areas that can't or isn't willing to act as an auxiliary full back. Robert would have been complete anathema to him.
