Aye cos Gouffran's really outdone him in that department. Gerraway man.
-
And make vastly less money? Why would he do that?
-
And subsequently scored on the counter from our corner.

Team talk at the Business School? Fairly apt.

There's nothing critically wrong with the squad that a competent manager wouldn't solve within a few weeks by asking the players to do some crazy shit like moving into space when a teammate has the ball. Real revolutionary stuff. We're in the top half under the stewardship of this utter mug so demanding wholesale changes doesn't make much sense to me. High player turnover often seems like a great idea but rarely works out that way.

They really aren't though. They spend fuck all, have a far less wealthy owner and their best players are on loan like us, but they've spent some money on hiring a proper manager. That is really the major difference between the two clubs. Yup. Delofeu's a great example of what Ben Arfa should be doing (but Ben Arfa's a far better player). He absolutely ran us ragged and other players moved off him, took players with them, to give him more space to operate in. It was almost like all the players had been coached to play that way.

There was a period for a few weeks where Haidara was the Holy Grail off the bench. Pardew seemed to think his crossing was the answer to all our problems, until he realised it wasn't and he hasn't been seen since. Luckily Dummett popped his head up with crossing that is the answer to all our problems (until he realises it isn't.)
-
I saw right through him tonight. If he finds himself out wide in some space, he might have some responsibility (usually he manages to shirk it by giving it to Dummett but their second goal, for example, he can't do that, loses it, goal). If he stays central, he can pop it straight off to Tiote and stay well out of the bad books of idiots who prefer to take it out on players who are trying something like Sissoko and HBA. Up there with Dyer vs Norwich for one of the all time worst performances that I've witnessed from a player in a black and white shirt. No hyperbole.
-
If Ben Arfa had played like he did, he would have been hooked before half time and certainly never seen again. HBA has never put in a performance anywhere near as grim as Gouffran's tonight. I said the other day that he never hides, well that was complete bullshit because tonight he was lying on the pitch with the fucking duvet over his head.
-
Doesn't seem to be any middle ground with strikers from the Eredivisie. You either get one of the greatest players in the world or you get a complete fucking carthorse.
-
I was convinced it was him who missed that one from HBA's pass. Glad it wasn't.

Everton must be laughing their fucking tits off.

Speaking of the match going fans, abominable tonight. Roars of joy from thousands when Deulofeu miscontrolled the ball out for our throw in, when we're 2-0 down. Huge groups of people, not just charvas (I saw a respectable looking woman in her mid-50s) singing "Liverpool, Liverpool, Liverpool" at the Everton fans as they came out. Pardew and Ashley want us to think we're small time and my fucking God, they are succeeding.

Feel a bit sorry for him really. Seems to have been nominated as our main (only) attacking threat down the left despite being a young rather limited defender.
-
What do you mean by the ego bit? He's far too magnificent a man to swallow his revolting pride and pick Ben Arfa from the start of a game. If he had that much pride he'd have left him out of the squad altogether. But then Remy wasn't fit so he had to bin his flimsy principles and bring him back to save his arse from the bench if desperate measures were required. He didn't even do that though. He did what he always does against teams that aren't utter wank - waits until 2-0 down then puts him on and blames him later.
-
Absolutely this, the amount of times he lost the ball today, totally responsible for the goal too, if it was Ben Arfa he wouldn't even be on the bench for a month, yet he'll walk back into the starting 11. He hasn't produced in weeks, clearly needs a rest. A rest? He needs some fucking talent.

Who you also defend incessantly?
