Swore to myself at the start of the season that I'd get one of these up, that's at least 3 times I've hit the post.

Ended up needing Perry Ng of Cardiff for £1200. Bollocks.

It's genuinely fascinating to me that somebody could see that and not wish to apply even the most basic aspect of critical thinking. Literally nobody in the replies has thought "What am I actually looking at there, what is the context of that?" - that absolutely boggles my mind, to not want to check the source of something before you make a judgement on it. He's transcribing live there during a talk from a Women in Journalism event about the abuse received by lesbians in the industry, presumably as part of his job at the time. And it's this guy, whoever he is (?), that according to the replies I'm meant to be believe is "sickening", "a danger", "absolutely disgusting", rather than 'bethnufc3' who has cut the context out of an 8 year old work tweet in order to make out that this random bloke who had a dig at the owners of her favourite football team is running round making rape gags. Some people have lost their fucking minds, seriously.

You have to be some sort of sociopath to contact somebody's employer because they had a dig at the nation state that owns the football team you support, imo.

Yeah I was just going to say that it's probably going to be an issue with the custody time limit re: Mendy. He was first charged in August last year, meaning his CTL would be expiring in February. He has been charged with additional offences subsequently, which may or may not change the time limit depending on whether they're on the same indictment, but even then you're still looking at May latest for the offences he was charged with in December. If his trial is going to be later than that, which apparently he is, then bailing is the only option, prosecution won't get an extension solely because it's taking ages.

Yeah the odds are really shit. I'm just doing small stakes doubles and trebles on that. Will have a few Lucky 15 card pairings across the games as well. One price I've spotted that looks interesting is Scott Tanser of St Mirren. Doesn't look to have picked up loads over his career which might be why the price is so long but he's 5/1 with 365 and a huge 17/2 with Betfair - he's been booked in 5 of the last 7 games.

5 of the last 6 meetings have seen a red card as well.

Quite a few games tonight that look ripe for cards. Three fierce rivalries (Dundee derby, Edinburgh derby, Lyon/Marseille) and a few South American qualifiers. Beaton doing Dundee is one of my favourite Scottish refs, and Bastien has one of the highest French averages too.

Same with Chelsea. Absolutely loathed them, then the moment they both won the title, I immediately dropped them straight back down the list.

You've said "players can't time waste" Of course they can but there's no punishment. We call it 'time wasting', that's not actually the point of the exercise though. If a team is under siege, 1-0 up at the death, facing corner after corner after corner, then a defending player lies on the floor for 5 minutes pretending to be injured - even if the ref adds every second of that time on when the game restarts, the "time wasting" was still worth it because at that point, things have calmed down, the crowd have got bored and the momentum has been taken out of the game. In that situation as a defending player, with no yellow card available to the referee anymore, I'd be making sure every throw in took a full minute to take. Suck all the life out of the game - the actual time itself is nowhere near as important.

Would make things much worse. The main point of what we call time wasting isn't actually to waste time, it's to kill the game's momentum. Remove the clock and the punishment and that becomes much easier to do.

Danny Drinkwater's had 6 cards in 16 for Reading, 5/1 is too big with 365. 38/1 double with Meekison of Dundee United (11/2, played 3 games and had 2 cards).

He's got no fucking credentials whatsoever, and I can't stand the bloke. Next weekend will be the most I've wanted Newcastle to win a game in close to ten years.

Most booked player in the Championship has 8 cards, Nicholls has 6. Don't think I've ever seen a keeper anywhere near those kind of numbers.

Got Nicholls at 14s when Huddersfield scored. FH/3 each at 18s would have been in as well if he'd bloody booked Koroma. Need Tymon for the 75/1 treble.

Would have really fancied it again here if he'd even just booked Koroma. Terrible reffing.
