Real Madrid -> Barcelona -> Liverpool Man City -> 12th best team in Turkey -> Fulham reserves

Wales have a better midfield than England.

The Phil Jones obsession going on at the moment is embarrassing.
-
Taken the reference to his shitty company out of the thread title, I don't want to see it.

If they need planning permission then the council does have real power, at least in the first instance and then it would probably go higher. Well exactly but I can't see the Secretary of State knocking it back on appeal.

http://publicaccess.newcastle.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=neighbourComments&keyVal=L5ZY13BSAP000 These are the public comments regarding the signs for Shite Direct on the Gallowgate and Barrack Road, 275, not that they made any difference.
-
I would imagine they'll need planning permission to put up a new sign where the current St James Park one is, whether the council have any real power to veto it, I don't know but I doubt it.
-
As an aside, watching Lee Clark commenting on the situation, I really hope he's our boss one day.
-
How often are those mentioned on Sky, BBC? Media outlets are no longer allowed to call it St James' Park.
-
How many times does it have to be pointed out: we're not getting any money from it.
-
In what world do you live where a stadium name change correlates to the success of a football club? You already know the answer to that, don't you? If the club increases its income and it spends the money wisely, you increase the chances of success on the field. I worry about how naive you'd have to be to think this will increase our income by a single penny.

Seriously deluded if you think everyone will still call it St James'. In Newcastle yes but that's it.
-
Why? I still call the Leazes end the Leazes end. So do the rest of the lads. How often do the BBC and Sky Sports mention the names of the stands? Kids growing up will not know St James' and it will soon be forgotten.

Handpicking the absolute cretins on Total Sport, as usual.
-
It doesn't sadden you that future generations of supporter will be brought up watching their club at Sports Direct Arena? For all the "it'll always be St James' to me" nonsense, imo the St James' Park name will be completely gone within two or three years. The media is a powerful machine. The fact that we're doing well as of today is so irrelevant to me. The club and the ground should mean more than what happens on any given matchday. If we go second, would you be happy to see the club colours changed? First, a full name change to Sports Direct FC?
-
They'll not be interested in that, you'll have to go all the way to the "Sports Direct Bedroom" to showcase the opportunity properly.
-
They only managed to force that pair out because there was more lining up to buy their oh so famous club. They're as powerless as every other set of fans but are just placed in a lucky situation. I meant that JFT96 video but even if they are powerless, at least they do try, and get their point of view across. A vocal protest about Sports Direct would hurt but would never happen at SJP.

He's having "sleeps".
-
No good putting that on it, most people simply wouldn't wear it.
-
For all you can say about Liverpool supporters, they stand up for what they believe in, big time. We bend over. You would never get anything like that at SJP.
-
We should litter the city with 'em. Paint it on the road outside the f***ing stadium if we have to. I think a large scale t-shirt campaign would be a good thing, if someone were willing and able to sell them cheap enough. Which company is going to be wanting its potential customers wearing a "Your brand is s***" t-shirt? http://i42.tinypic.com/25hpqib.png Would be worth every penny. I think incorporating a Kitbag ad is a good idea too.

You can whittle on about "finances" and "competing" as much as you like but every single shred of evidence suggests that it's a plain and simple matter of Mike Ashley being a cunt and wanting to take the piss out of us again.
