Even players playing today who aren't directly affected must be finding it difficult - Danny Graham for example is the same age as me and obviously a big Toon fan.
-
The Liverpool game too, Craig Bellamy for one must be absolutely devastated.
-
Scored a gorgeous goal against Birmingham under Robson at St Andrew's, let it run across his body and belted it in off the post from 25 yards.
-
It is apparently just the major news outlets wont run it yet to give his family some space etc. BBC News 24 are running with it and say his family have confirmed it.
-
Fucking hell man, I'm absolutely gutted.
-
Aye you're right there, it's easy to forget what an arsehole he can be until you actually represent some form of competition to him.
-
Obertan played well today tbf. I certainly wouldn't be dropping him for Sammy, I think it's important that Sammy's introduced gradually.

Ferguson claims we kept fouling them and should have had another player sent off, someone who pulled back Evra. I don't know how he has the nerve after Rooney and Fabio's antics, as well as two farcical bookings we received.

Brewcey's letter Too often we’ve been at home and created enough chances but not done enough to go on and win the game. We’ve created enough, but haven’t taken those chances. It’s happened too often in recent weeks. We have to be bigger and better. We need to have the ability, when the chances fall for us, to stay calm and not get edgy or nervous, and take a few of them. We piled people forward to try and win the match and we made a mistake. Wes Brown has been terrific for us in all the games he’s played and he’s made a bad mistake today, but I’m not going to hold him responsible for their goal. You can’t keep making excuses, week in, week out. Unless we handle it and deal with it we’re going to have afternoons like this one. I fully understand the frustrations of the fans, but I’m still convinced the dressing room will turn it around. It’s in my nature never to chuck anything so we’ll be ready to go again on Monday morning. We will dust ourselves down and get ready for the challenge ahead. All the best, Read more: http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=647504#ixzz1eqNfiQZh

I think it will but only because of how Ben Arfa reacted. How dare he raise his voice to Wayne Rooney? Surprised his card wasn't red.

Wednesday fan on 606 saying Tavernier played very well today. Didn't even realise he'd gone there tbh!
-
Hope MOTD features them singing "Fat Geordie Bastard" at him.
-
I'd rather he was playing tbh, been abject this season.
-
I think anybody on here who makes out that they won't be shitting it for 31 days straight in the January transfer window is a liar.
-
Perhaps he thinks we should have thrown men forward in the late stages at Old Trafford and ended up with a complete arsekicking. He should know all about that after all.
-
Not. Pisses all over Bobby and KK. You're on the wind up fucking constantly these days man, you used to be worth reading. Yep, unbelievably tedious.
-
The Wednesday after we play them, just a pity it's early on Saturday rather than a Sunday afternoon job where they'll definitely have their eye on midweek.
-
I've just seen the Wigan winner, absolute from the greatest defender ever to play for sunderland.
-
Good for us.
-
Nolan scores with a 25 yard volley.
-
Who the fuck's Dan Arcer?
-
Jason Roberts: "Erm I think you're in the positive on decisions given at Old Trafford don't you?"
-
Mackem on 606 - "On paper we're a top 8 team"

Bloody hell, I was convinced he got booked for the second one. He might have been, I didn't see him get booked though. Happy to admit if I'm wrong about it. Nah I just checked, can't believe it.
