HoP? Two Footed Tackle is good but the sound quality is shit, too muted.

It's my favourite podcast by far, love Marcotti as a presenter. That Alison Rudd had some irritating things to say about the SJP renaming. Basically saying we should be grateful the stadium is being renamed instead of demolished or moved. She always talks shite. And she has this irritating habit of talking over people (which is made more annoying by the fact that she's generally making a bullshit point anyway). Can't stand her. I agree, she talks shit. Marcotti's one of the only media people I've heard actually point out that the club's getting fuck all from it, although they obviously did go on to discuss ridiculous hypotheticals of the idea anyway. I was hoping Tony Evans would be on to discuss SJP, he's very against football clubs focusing on foreign markets instead of fans on their own doorstep, I think he'd have had something interesting to say, especially given that he broke the story in the first place.
  8. "If we are left with a remnant of tickets this is wasted money that cannot be spent elsewhere, for example, player investment."

My seat's got some other bugger's name on it. Was going to say can you not get your own name on it instead, but it might go against that particular seat's tradition. Changing my name instead, see if I can drum up some advertising revenue for myself in future.
  10. While there's no point making too much of it, it's arguably more pathetic to do it down. Fair play to England, they neutralized and defeated a side that everyone thought would demolish them, friendly or not - Spain were more or less full strength while England was nearly a second string!

  12. As I said earlier, this game was perfect for Parker. He really shines under the cosh.
  13. Hope you've got good links with some corporate fat-cats then. Probably wouldn't have a prayer of getting a ticket anyway right? I assume it would take about 5 billion loyalty points to get one off the club. I'd be willing to pay a tout a near-infinite sum of money, but there are probably thousands of others who would do the same. Alan Pardew would be lucky to get one once the corporates had taken their share, it's disgraceful the way the tickets are dished out.

  15. Scored several important goals in qualifying.

Baggio and Christmas Tree are two sides of the same coin, both started following the club relatively late in life and as a result neither really understand the game, the club or the supporters.
  17. Terry to Sturridge - "Cheer up, darkie lad!"
  18. That's your card marked sunshine!
  19. Dunno like, Barca were bloody rubbish against Bilbao last week.
  20. This is probably the type of game where Parker will excel tbh, the problem is that there's little quality on the ball around him. He was always excellent for us breaking up play against good passing sides, particularly Arsenal, it was when he would pick the ball up against Wigan that his lack of real footballing ability became a problem.
  21. Fergie must be pissing himself, he's got England testing out Jones' suitability for an untested position against players that Fergie himself needs to try and get the better of.
