He was the perfect signing at the time. aye, i'm not pooh-poohing the optimists - anyone can be a smartarse with the benefit of hindsight and all that (personally i didn't have much of an opinion of him as a player either way). more a depressing reflection of the states of affairs as is! No hindsight, he was fantastic in the CCC and made promotion a breeze.

hobshobs with one of the stupidest posts ever made. Well played.

Only on Newcastle Online could folk be more annoyed about one of our key players putting a comment on the internet than another key player being sold.

Can say what he likes as far as I'm concerned. High time somebody within the club called these charlatans out. Just like KK, he'll be called worse than shit for trying to get people to cotton on to the disgusting way our club is being run. He's a goner anyway and Enrique, Tiote, Colo and Jonas won't be long after him.
-
The club's never been less stable at any point in its recent history. Players last ten minutes, managers five, the only constant is the despicable wretch at the top. Well and Shola obviously.

Total misunderstanding of how football works from people on here like. It's a team game, not a computer game where you can sign a load of foreigners, throw them on the field and expect it to just work.

Fucking pig sick of NUFC. Being run for the benefit of one man's ego. Fucking rotten to the core.

How does selling the Premier League's top scoring midfielder show ambition? Keep your best players, get rid of your poor ones. If Cabaye, who is obviously a cast iron certainty to be better in this league, is out, who replaces him? Ryan Taylor again then? Real strength in depth.

All about Nolan's greed again I see. Nothing to do with the club accepting an offer for yet another key player and by doing so making it clear he's not wanted.
-
We cannot lose Kevin Nolan.

I hope we're not going to miss out over a pricing issue. If it's, say, 12 million then he's worth every penny in this market, in fact that's a bargain. Yes it's incredibly fucking irritating having to pay way more than we sold him for but that's our own brain dead fault for selling him in the first place, that was far more irritating.

He was a free agent technically but I think Pancrate was from PSG too wasn't he?
-
They'll be on their through-the-night loop I expect.

He's probably not daft enough to forget the fact that Carroll signed a new deal in October either. And then wanted another one 3 months later didn't he? Which is why he was told if he wanted to leave he had to put it in writing. He was also told we'd sit down with him at the end of the season. I bet the October contract put him on a par with the highest paid of our "new" contracts. Irrelevant to the issue. The point is that the club will sell players if a bid comes in regardless of whether they have a new deal or not, so Tiote's new deal would have no effect on Jose whatsoever, because he knows this. Ambition comes in the form of saying no to offers.

What type of player is Barnetta? Seems a very bold claim from the DM, who are actually quite good with their transfer nonsense in fairness.

He's been dragging it out since last autumn. I think he was entitled to wait to see if we got relegated again. Although that's looking more like an excuse at the moment. I'm sure we could have written in a relegation clause. He's taken the p*ss. Great player but has taken us all for a ride imo. Gerraway man. The club have taken players like him, Nolan, Barton for a ride by "breaking promises". You say he could have signed in the autumn... imagine if he'd done that then they sold Carroll. He'd have every right to be f***ing fuming and I would wager that's his main issue. He now has every right to wait and see where this money is going. So because you sell one player you don't sign a deal? We're better than being a one-man club man. Crap excuse if that's it. So in early contract discussions, the club say they have ambition and promise not to sell Carroll and then sell him and you think he should sign it anyway? Why would a footballer want to commit to a club with no ambition to achieve anything? Tiote hasn't been here years and seen the same thing happen time and time again.

He's been dragging it out since last autumn. You keep saying this but I'm almost certain that he did a U-turn as soon as Carroll was flogged. I could be wrong of course.

Because Pardew obviously hates the idea of Jose signing a new contract? Got it. I doubt Pardew has much of a say in it. Just like with Carroll, I'd imagine he wants to keep the best players at the club because it makes his job easier. He's just the one shoved out in front of the media to explain things. Not noticed that everyone who leaves the club is a greedy c***? It works. Pardew said Enrique was going to be offered a fantastic contract to stay. Why doesn't Jose or his agent just call him on it if it's a lie? Perhaps they have a bit of integrity about them. A football agent? His brother isn't it?
-
How do you know he's going to slag him off? He might just say Jose doesn't want to sign a contract...then Jose could just as easily say that's bollocks. But I doubt he will. He was slagging him off yesterday. "Oooohh Enrique won't talk to me!" Be professional and keep any issues fully behind closed doors ffs.
-
More slagging off his own players in the press, tremendous.

The legroom in the Upper Gallowgate is great IIRC. Jonny Hall, yesterday: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/31/Warwick_Davis_interviewed_2.jpg/220px-Warwick_Davis_interviewed_2.jpg
