I hope we're not going to miss out over a pricing issue. If it's, say, 12 million then he's worth every penny in this market, in fact that's a bargain. Which is why he was told if he wanted to leave he had to put it in writing. He was also told we'd sit down with him at the end of the season. I bet the October contract put him on a par with the highest paid of our "new" contracts. Irrelevant to the issue. The point is that the club will sell players if a bid comes in regardless of whether they have a new deal or not, so Tiote's new deal would have no effect on Jose whatsoever, because he knows this. Ambition comes in the form of saying no to offers.
