Depends on your definition of success but I don't think that's true at all. I think the club would like you to think it though. Well yeah, by success I was thinking European qualification and then pushing up into the top 4. If by success you mean getting promoted and potentially finishing in the top half, then pushing on from there... we're already doing that. Do you think Spurs are taking massive financial risks? Or even the mackems, who will probably still either bottle it or simply be caught by Liverpool, but are still very much in contention for Europe? Do you think Arsenal are taking massive financial risks? How would you have gone about running the club? Serious question. Thats a question to anyone bytheway. Don't sell the best players? Agenda aside id genuinely be interested in someones opinion as to what exactly they'd do differently. In terms of transfers I think we;ve been close to spot on in recent years. Even Spurs had to sell the likes of berba and carrick before they got estabilished. If the money is spent wisely then we're on the right way in my opinioon. Obviosuly the biggest if going. Aye, our transfers have been so spot on, we ended up going down. Jesus, man.

Give over man, Arsenal have got more money than they know what to do with anyway.

It's as simple as Arsenal saying 'no'.

They turned the bid down so Fabregas wouldn't have a clue.

No they don't. What they do is they create £35m players from nothing and that is what gets them their success. We did that. The key is not selling those players at the first fucking opportunity. Seem to remember Fabregas handing in a transfer request, did they sell him? Did they fuck.

How was selling Milner fantastic business when we spent none of it and ended up getting relegated?
  9. Could potentially be a massacre tomorrow without Colo. Could anyway tbh.

  11. Carroll apparently. Shows how far in advance this transfer was sorted out.
  12. I'm with this. Sheer blind unflinching bitter hatred is what's needed. so, you've changed your mind now, Wullie? How have I changed my mind?
  13. To Three Lions: He's shagging Faye, he's shagging Faye, he's shagging, Taylor's shagging Faye! I really hope Taylor's already been round and drilled her into the middle of next week btw.

Kaka aiming to set himself a new low amongst stiff competition from his previous drivel. What sort of an arsehole do you have to be to criticise someone for getting elbowed in the face, Jesus Christ. When do the 'worst poster' nominations open so he can clinch my vote for a 17th successive year?
  15. I missed that call but heard it later when someone emailed in to complain about them not discussing the court case and the host said that he'd not read anything from the case so it was best to err on the side of caution. I wondered why he was hosting a local football show if he's not prepared to do essential basic research on things people will want to discuss. Mackem prick.

    Kicks to the Balls

Had just set off in the car last night when the radio started playing Daydream Believer and though i still belted out a rendition of Cheer up Steve Bruce, a wave of sadness washed over me. How and why the fuck have we gone from the euphoria that we all felt at full time that day, and similarly after the Villa game, in such a short space of time? So utterly preventable and that's what makes it so terribly depressing.
  17. Carroll has way more than 3. Think about it.

    Honesty

The story going was. (This comes form someone close to Babayaro) Him and his agent turned up for talks, prior to the meeting him and his agent were discussing possible figures and Luque said he'd be quite happy for between 25-30k a week. They went into the room sat down and his agent demanded 75k Luque was flabbergasted when Shepherd said yes and signed the deal. As opposed to the OP?

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Yeah rumours of maybe the bench but got to be to early surely
  20. Fuck off man. Your crossing's only as good as the bloke who can rise a foot above the closest defender and head it in.
  21. Don't blame him if he has. Carroll, like with Nolan, has revitalised Barton's career. That's what made him so valuable to us. His true worth I'm not arsed about because he shouldn't have been sold. To us with this squad and the "financial limitations" we're under he was irreplaceable.
