Our first choice left back and our first choice wingers are good enough. Our central midfield might be high on quantity but it's woefully short on quality. It's also the most important area of the field imo. We need the first team to be adequate before we go chasing someone to sit on the bench in case Enrique gets injured.

Really? Spurs will crucify them. Wonder what the odds are for him to go next.
-
Who've Wigan got next? Martinez gone by the end of the month is my prediction.

Apparently a section of mackems were booing Bramble today. Excellent.
-
Hopefully this will mean we can use Smith up front.
-
Don't know much about him but it's one of the positions that we desperately needed strengthening so i'm delighted. If we can get our hands on Ben Arfa, I'll be ten times more confident of survival.

So it was. Those 13 goals came with only 19 starts though. The vast majority of Carroll's goals came against poor teams. The vast majority of Nolan's came against poor teams. The vast majority of Xisco's (actually all of them) came against poor teams. Again, what point are you making? Why is Lovenkrands being criticised for only playing against poorer opposition when we spent the season in the Championship? It's like asking why Darren Bent doesn't score many in Europe these days. People want Lovenkrands in the team on the strength of him being able to get goals. He just wont get them in this league. And he certainly contributes nowt else, similar to Nolan in that respect. So who is going to get goals and contribute that's on our books at the moment?

Tons of predictable results today and Charlton have fucked it all up for me. CUNTS.

Oldham with ten men, come on Charlton!!!
-
Fucking get in.
-
Fuck off Allardyce.
-
Come on Charlton, you fucks.

The Good defenders will, yes. However, the teams that we'll be competing with dont tend to have 2 good central defenders. Is it certain the likes of Jody Craddock, Zat Knight, Robert Huth, Emmerson Boyce, Winston Reid etc etc will "eat him for breakfast"? The chances are these players will be starting against us in crucial games, I'd fancy his pace and movement to cause a few problems against the bottom half teams if I'm honest, more so than Xisco. This is the Villa thread, mate. Villa have good defenders. However, if you look at the teams Loven scored against last season, a pattern appears. Swansea? West Brom? Cardiff? Middlesbrough? QPR? Sheff Utd? Looks like much of the cream of the division to me. Boro finished 11th, QPR finished 13th, Sheff United 8th. Yeah. The cream of the division. Well QPR under Warnock are clearly a different kettle of fish but fair enough so he scored against 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, 11th etc... what point are you trying to make? He didn't score against 3rd, 5th, 6th and 9th placed teams. Useless cunt. Xisco got three goals in La Liga last season btw, 2 vs Tenerife and 1 vs Xerez. Both sides went down.

It's the hope that kills me. Mine was all going swimmingly until Charlton conceded. I've got another one with four coming in, going to be a nervy second half.

Didn't realise Bradley Orr had moved to QPR, he's done alright for himself since we chucked him on the scrapheap.

Cunt, I've got Gillingham on my slip.

Arsenal lead. Hope they get a hatful.

I think he's made a mistake forcing out some of their key players that were seen as the future of the club before the money turned up because it means the club really does feel like just a soulless toy. I think a big part of Chelsea's success has been due to keeping Terry and Lampard, not just because of how good they are but because they represent Chelsea FC and they (particularly Terry, a youth product) did back when they didn't have a pot to piss in. I think Ireland could quite easily have been their Lampard when surrounded by better players.

I'd rather be facing Milner tomorrow than Ireland, that's for sure. Bet he scores.

Lucky we're not playing tomorrow.
