  1. Barca 1-0 down coming up to half time. If they fuck me up again I'm going to ban Village Idiot.
  2. Shit day for betting today, a lot of crazy results flying round. Got a tenner on Real/Depor/Barca, only returns £30 though. Depor just gone 3-1 after coming from behind.
  3. Special mention to Fabrice Pancrate, had a lot of unfair stick, I thought he was excellent. Him and Ryan Taylor were about a foot away from a third consecutive carbon copy goal. Oh and Leon Best still spent 20 minutes against a desolate 10 men looking like he wouldn't score in a month of Sundays.
  4. It's bollocks about him not "backing" us in the summer, though. He "backed" us by letting Hughton keep all the players who weren't suddenly looking for greener pastures and making up the shortfall on a wage bill that's pretty damn heavy by this league's standards. There was no fire sale. Having watched how it went, he then funded Hughton in addressing most of the obvious problems in January. Your concluding sentence is nonsense. If by backing us you mean "keeping the shit he'd signed on ludicrous wages because no fucker would be stupid enough to buy them" then yeah you're right. It can't be any more nonsense than you sniffing his arse all last season and telling us how good it smelt. All the while you told us what a brilliant job he was doing then whoops, we got relegated, however did that happen? Poor Mike, it's not his fault.
  5. I used to live round the corner from Curtis Fleming, he was a regular in our pub. Nice fella.
  6. We bought players in January because we thought that we might not go up, the money was spent to try and improve our chances of promotion. It's just a pity we didn't do the same to stay up but at least it does look like lessons were learned. I'm sure it was but if we hadn't been favourites, he would not have done it imo. Too much chance of not getting it back.
  7. Me too But it's boring winning small numbers My advice would be to look at Leagues 1 and 2 more closely. You get better odds and I find more predictable games. Definitely - I've found thus far this year since I have been making more realistic bets, those 2 leagues have been good. You get the odd freak result like anywhere but it's a bit more predictable than other divisions. In the Premiership even teams like Pompey, Hull and Burnley have quality to get results here and there whereas, for the most part (apart from when the Quakers are playing fucking Rotherham) betting against teams like Stockport and Darlington has been like printing money. Ditto betting on Norwich and Rochdale where you get far better odds than if you bet on Man Utd and actually a better chance of a result (apart from Rochdale and Messi, touchy subject).

  9. Genuine question and not being sarcy: do you watch/mildly follow either of those teams or were those bets placed relatively blindly? Nah do I bollocks. I take a quick peek at the league table and the form guide and go for it. It's (that is, the Dutch Jupiler League) a league I bet on fairly regularly but I'd never put more than a quid or two on (which is good seeing as the Go Ahead Eagles have just let me down again).
  10. Has the decision making improved this season? I think we could just as easily have sank this season as swam because he wasn't prepared to back us in the summer. The players and the manager can take the credit for how we've done, Ashley has just got lucky. He's bought a few players in January because he thinks we're up - if we'd been so much as in the play-off positions, he'd have kept his hand firmly in his pocket.
  11. I need the Go Ahead Eagles and Uniao Leiria to score and win (as well as three other games to stay as they are) for £15 and give me some more funds to play with.
  12. Journalists reckon Newcastle fans are fickle, not half as fickle as the fucking journos themselves. Let's all lick Mike Ashley's hoop for being top of a division that his incompetence condemned us to. Let's not, eh?
  13. Had rochdale, bristol rovers, southampton, notts co, port vale and stevenage last night. Won £40 from a £1 stake, my overall feeling was pissed off that i didn't have more on. Can't knock it i suppose. Got a daft 9fold on the internationals tonight. Quid pays 90odd, not hopeful.
  14. £10 on Montpellier/Monaco/Real Madrid/Barcelona returned £46 £5 on Spurs/Liverpool/Rangers returned £35 £2 on Sheff Utd/Swansea/Millwall/Norwich/Bradford/Coventry/Carlisle returned £74. Absolutely over the moon after a few bad betting weeks. Going to test my luck on Sevilla and something else later, wish I'd known of some of the other games today before now though, would have got on Milan, PSV, Ajax and Twente all at home. EDIT: gone for £5 on Sevilla, Anderlecht, Zulte-Waregem and Lille, returns £42ish.
  15. They did the same the first time Shearer and Bellamy met again at Ewood Park when we beat them 3-0 (iirc).
  16. Bridge has appeared in a World Cup before btw, albeit twice off the bench.
  17. Especially since Bridge gave Chelsea a few years of good service.
  18. 5/2 dnb too. I'm getting on it. How do i do dnb on bwin? Dunno mate, sorry, I use 365, same odds.
  19. 5/2 dnb too. I'm getting on it.
