Eto'o should have scored there.

Sampdoria down to 10 now.

Said the Newcastle fan.

Great, I've got Barca/Inter/Mallorca and Inter are down to 9 men. Need Zulte Waregem to score for another 15 quid too.
-
Ranger's still only 18 though. You can't expect him to be the full package - people do though.
-
The weakest so far is either him, Pancrate or Van Aanholt. Don't think Van Aanholt has been particularly bad. He's far from being a solid defender, but looks a good footballer which the other two certainly don't. Pancrate must have at least three or four assists and a cracking goal to his name to be fair to him.

Ranger must be sick, Best looks woeful.

Sweet. Not much but it's more than I've been making of late i.e. nowt. EDIT: this actually didn't happen since Notts Co got an injury time equaliser that I didn't know about against Aldershot, wankers.

I agree with this. Came over for my first game against coventry and was amazed at how poor Carroll is on the ground in open play. But as a striker he gets into the positions and is scoring regularly. So at home great but on the road with one up front I don't think he's the best option. Hes saved our ass away from home more than one occassion, Lovenkrands cant play lone striker. once? Stoke away last season, Swansea Away this season are the only ones that come to mind at the moment, but him and Nolan have scored alot of our goals away from home this season, fair enough you can say because Hughton plays both of them upfront in the 4-4-1-1 formation away from home nearly all of the time, but hes our most effective striker on the road this season. Havent got the stats with me at the moment, Im not sure wether its him or Amoebi who has more goals from a ST position. I think Carroll is our best option as a striker when were playing away from home. He's scored twice away, Swansea and one when we got beat at Blackpool.

Put a couple of small ones on before I went out, have £17 back from today's games after my main bet missed out, will get another £7 or so if Stoke win.

Newcastle United Vs Preston North End - Saturday 20th Feb -3 pm KO
Wullie replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
Oh dear. Can see us coming unstuck today now. Alan Smith can fuck off. -
Forest have hit a slightly rocky patch but I'm hoping that Boro will just be too shit.

Gone for a plain old accumulator: Newcastle Depor Forest Norwich Colchester Chesterfield Fleetwood Town £3 returns £120. Also: Stoke Leicester Aldershot £4 trixie, returns £42, any two wins gives a small profit.

Why? Who would you rather??? Glazers?? Munto finance??? Hicks?? Welcome to the real world - we aren't ever going to get bought out by a billionaire! It could be so much worse We did and the fat c*** took us down. Yeah it could be worse. If we were in League 2 it could still be worse and some people would still say Mike Ashley was doing a great job. don't even understand this post??? Of course it could be worse but it is'nt mistakes were made and now we are probably going to be in the prem again next year - without all the deadwood but with younger fresher players. Long term being relegated could be good thing. Its all about enjoying the game and I'm enjoying it more this season than last. What do you think our chance of survival is? I think we'll struggle to match Derby's points total. That's a bit pessamistic - whats that 20 points??? I'll bet with our best team out and a full house we would comfortably be well out relegation places this year. I honestly think now we have a better team than Hull, Wolves, Portsmouth, West Ham, Stoke, Burnley and Blackburn. And if we don't - playing with two quick wingers is at least entertaining! Don't know you, but surely you can't write us before we are even there?? I think you're living in a dream world if you think we have a better side now than all those sides do. We were worse and less effective than them when we had the likes of Given, Beye, Bassong, Martins, Owen, Viduka at our disposal so how are we somehow better off as a squad now? Midfield is the most important area of a team and the likes of Smith, Butt and Nolan are struggling to cut it at Championship level and they will again be expected to keep us up, even most of our best players have not proven themselves as Premiership players, indeed have struggled at that level - Coloccini, Gutierrez, Routledge, Taylor. I'm enjoying being top too but if that's all that matters, why don't we just deliberately get ourselves relegated from the Championship, we'll have a whale of a time in League 1. It will take massive investment (for massive investment read: the amount of money a club of our size should have at its disposal) to have a hope of Premiership survival and Mike Ashley's penny pinching won't give us that. Yes I'd rather be in our position than Middlesbrough's but nevertheless he has decimated the club and the current league position papers over that. He took on a Premiership club and currently has on his hands a club that doesn't have a hope of surviving in that league.

Get behind the owner ffs. No thanks.

Nah, thought the ref made the right decision. It wasn't a clear goal scoring opportunity as he was going away from goal, but it was definitely a yellow card offense. it was a clear goal scoring opportunity if he hadn't been fouled. These days it's not an obvious goalscoring opportunity as he was going away from goal (strange concept when he's getting closer to it I know), so a yellow was the only possible decision. is that official as had he not been fouled his next touch would have been a shot at goal. are we reaching ther point where andy fray is going to be saying "oooooohhhhh look, he was actually drifting a foot wide of the goal so no sending off." he was goalward bound, not heading towards his own half. That's an absolutely ludicrous rule if that is the case. In that situation, going "away from goal" creates a better opportunity because it causes the goalkeeper to shift position to cover his near post and create a better angle for shooting into the far corner. The rule is basically saying that the best goalscoring opportunity is to run directly at the goalkeeper.

tell me about it, thats three times this season with those twats now..........no more with them...........ever!!!!!!! The other twice probably against Darlington like me. God knows how they're 4th, twats.

Fucking Rotherham.

Thinking of going for a Heinz on Newcastle, Forest, Chesterfield, Colchester, Norwich and Fleetwood Town.

You know fine well that won't be the case. Why not? At the start of January people were doubting we'd sign anyone, look how that turned out. So shall we forget all of the other transfer windows before that? Never happy. Ah right so because we had a canny decent January window (for once) I should be positive and think that when we get promoted everything he has done in the past he will have learned from? But seriously, you make it sound like every window we've had's been wank imo, only January last year was truly dog shit bad. If I cared more I'd go back and read your comments from the opening day at Old Trafford, because I imagine they will have been positive. Xisco is the only dodgy signing of the first window, and he wasn't even given a chance to show himself. A successful transfer window should be judged on how well we addressed the squad's obvious deficiencies - we got relegated, so not that well. It's not a case of "how many 'dodgy' players did we sign?" ffs.
-
There'll be a catch, has to be, we've seen nothing of it yet though.
-
Someone suggested if they score the penalty, yellow, if they miss, red but you'd have players deliberately missing if they thought they could play 85 minutes from 0-0 vs ten man chelsea than have a one goal lead against a full side.

Great thanks mate.
