N-O Football Match - Red v Blue @ 10:30 on 18/05/19 @ Dunston Powerleague

If it had worked it would have been an amazing goal. Given the state of my ankle it was a stupid idea to try and bend it with the outside of my foot. Used to be able to hit them like that when I was younger. Wish I'd piped up and hit it with my left. I was pleased I managed to put a couple of proper corners in, often they're fucking hopeless. -
He's operating on a new level of cuntishness since he joined the world's most detestable club. They're made for each other.

Liam, mate of Rich. Not sure if he gets on here. Think he had the Napoli shirt on anyway, the other lad who scored a brace was with Rich too. -

I could tell it was a hamstring when you went down or I'd have carried on. Should have used it to my advantage and went round you when 1-on-1 though. Poor. -
I thought it was because the linesman (on the opposite side) had his flag down for a corner.

you didnt see the incident where bassong threw bellamy to the ground in the box early in the second half i reckon? We should have had a stick on penalty in the first half for a shove on Carroll tbh. Funny... MOTD didnt show that i think a penalty given in that situation would have been harsh on west ham imo, but the one with bellamy was an easy call in my eyes, and seb was lucky to get away with it.. What, Carroll has risen to head it in and he just gets shoved over? How would that have been harsh?

A ref!? mackems.gif -
I think getting rid of a left back whose only real flaw is that his passing is poor would be suicidal. That can be improved.

First half he was our best player but reverted to type in the second half, giving it away far too easily. Frustrating again because he defended impeccably. His outpacing of Bellamy over 30 yards should have put paid to the myth that he's slow though.

How did nearly the whole stadium standing and applauding affect the players in a negative way? And why did that effect last for three games? Seems a bit odd to me.

Are our fans the most uninventive lyrically in the league?

i noticed they were singing some song tonite to the tune the scousers sing to there torres song. Who probably nicked it of someone first, it was johhny cash last time. That bugs me, now england stoke and god knows who else sing that ring of fire as well. It was Man Utd's song before Liverpool, for O'Shea of all people, going back years ago. Then the redshite made the Torres version. Like they stole our Arteta song for that 'best midfield in the world' crap and we in turn robbed the tune from somewhere else which probably wasn't the original either. I wouldn't worry too much about who was first. We Shall Not Be Moved is an old Everton song, over the decades the first part of the song has been dropped and it's now just a general chant that literally everyone sings. Pretty much any chant that catches on at a club will be taken by someone else. We do not sing "we shall not be moved", thank you very much. The worst chant in football. -

Aye that was after two games as well, that thread. Couldn't believe what I was hearing. EDIT: I'd completely forgotten about .com's description of Martins after his first game as well. -
I liked the line: "Look, even the Jews agree!"
