  1. there isn't a debate. you have on the one side those who think keegan couldn't ever do any wrong and on the other those who think it's just better if nufc kept any money regardless of the rights and wrongs. one or two are enlightened through their unenlightenment enough to say....i'll decide after the evidence comes out. ironically the world divides itself along similar lines. those who want evidence and proof get swamped by those too emotional to see past their blind, closed minded petty views. there is a third view, is that keegan bottled it like he has at other jobs when he couldn't get his own way Such as?
  2. Man I can't wait to see their faces when they go to West Brom hoping to just get beat 1-0.
  3. Saying that he was a peado would be slander and unlawful, saying he looks like somebody isn't against the law, yet. Since when was slander a criminal offence?
  4. From what I can see two people have been arrested for Racism, I can't see how the chants can be seen as Racism and I'll defend them against that. If they were being arrested for calling him a peado then I'd say that was fair enough but not Racism. Why?
  5. He's said on .cock that he's starting with two of the three, but won't be scared to switch to 3 up top if he needs to. Hmm. I'd much rather start with the three than do it when we're panicking and needing a goal with twenty minutes left. EDIT: but I recognise Vids is not fit of course.
  6. Faye was a superb defender (and a pretty good footballer) and if he'd had a different name and been signed from a different club, our fans would have appreciated him more imo. He made that one rick at Birmingham and suddenly he was 'average' - fucking bollocks. By the way, I see Owen has today been quoted saying that he wants to go for the three pronged attack, as Oba also did last week. Still can't see Kinnear going for it but if he's got the three strikers in his ear, maybe he'll cave.
  7. Agreed. People's views on this will be coloured by whether he was forced out or "bottled" it. Personally I believe he was misled from the outset re transfers and his position was made untenable. I think he has every right to sue the club in that case and I don't think any the less of him for it, I would do exactly the same in his shoes. He is not stealing from the fans' pocket - Ashley owns the club not us - and this should not affect transfer funds one jot (I'm cynical over whether any money will be spent one way or another anyway). I wish it wasn't happening but the responsibility lies with Ashley imo.

  9. Re-read the very first sentence again mate. Why worry about Ashley taking a hit? If he runs the club into the ground, it's his loss. Someone will buy it eventually and run it properly. I'm not worried about Ashley taking a hit. Both sides obviously think they've got a good case otherwise it wouldn't have got this far. It just so happens that Ashley could, financially, deal with losing the case but I'm not sure if Keegan could. If Keegan is found to have breached his contract it could cost him an awful lot of money. If Ashley loses he could just add it to his asking price for the club. Hope Keegan knows what he's doing here. How? I thought the loser has to pay both side's court costs? Ah right, I see what you mean.

He's suing the corporate entity that is NUFC, not the individual Mike Ashley. Whatever settlement is reached will come from club funds, or do you really think Ashley will reach for his personal checkbook to pick up the tab? Wasn't favorable towards Keegan before and I certainly have no love for him now. I'd like to see people still argue that he "loves the club" when he seems willing to take a few million quid from our coffers when we're desperate for cash in January. We're not desperate for cash. Yet more of Ashley's propaganda.
  12. Oh, you mean the owner(s) that give us transfer money? Yeah, please do take them for all you can, we don't need any new players. A silly myth perpetuated by Mike Ashley. The club can more than hold its own in the transfer market without him having to pay a penny.

The new-look league will have 48 clubs in 12 groups of four, with teams playing each other home and away as opposed to just once as it stands now. The top two in each group then join the eight third-placed Champions League clubs in a 32-club knock-out stage. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7637600.stm

It's going to be the "Europa league" and the format is changing but I don't think it's much for the better.

It's true what they say about European experience like. Even at our lowest ebb in this competition, every match in the group stage was pretty much a formality while the sides in at the moment are all stuttering against real no-marks.

I was utterly sick of it by our last few seasons in it. The current format is totally ludicrous and has made it into a total second rate competition - as a fan, you've probably spent £100 before you get a vaguely competitive tie and that's just at home.
  19. The derby defeat has really had the sting taken out of it by the way they have collapsed since. The only home games they've won have been against us and the Boro because that's all they care about. Sad mackem bastards.

  21. Face facts, we'll never be as big as Crystal Palace.
