Ashley Cole obviously told this morning over breakfast in no uncertain terms to miss any chance he had.

Christ, didn't realise it had started.

Righto. -
A fair few times which is why Bellamy was on the right wing. Aye and remember the Palace game where Bellamy and Kluivert beat them on their own only for Shearer to come straight back in? That wasn't on either.

Lol, yet another jibe at Shearer. Will it ever end? how was that f*** was that a jibe at Shearer? by the end of 2005, just about everyone was questioning Shearer's constant place in the starting 11 tbh Really,ok that's your own view, mine?A proven goal scoring machine that he was.I never questioned his inclusion,if he was on the pitch you knew for sure he would give his all for the shirt. not getting drawn into this argument again but post 2003 (exception of penalties) he was no goal threat whatsoever and the stats prove it Lol, I think you will find that no one bar you was questioning his inclusion in the team at that time. I think you will also find that saying he was no goal threat whatsoever post 2003 is also extrememly harsh. While there is no denying he was much less of a player than he was before, he still scored some fine open play goals. You must be the only supposed Newcastle fan on the face of the planet who can say that they have ever been dissapointed to see Shearer's name on the teamsheet. Hilarious. That's bollocks tbf. There was loads of people on here, including myself, who wanted to see Kluivert and Bellamy up front at a time when Shearer was little threat other than from the spot.

today or on wednesday ? on weds he was the only point of attack for them and only lacked a finish. Yet they scored twice after he went off having been goalless. I haven't exactly been quiet about my dislike for him but seriously I think on the field he is comfortably the biggest problem at the club. I've never seen anyone who can break down attacks so consistently. 2 points from a possible 36 last season with him in the side, in my view, was not a coincidence.

Having spent far too many of my formative years in that area, I absolutely hate losing to these cunts. Last two times I've been there have produced late sickeners for us, I'd love to beat them this time.

Strange old weekend. I wonder how long it is since the top four all dropped points. EDIT: all failed to score too, that must be a long time since that happened.
-
We can only hope that we continue to tread enough water in the meantime.
-
I voted Duff but really it should be neither because Duff shouldn't be on the field at all. Ever.
-
It's pure frustration though. Swap the sides around and I'd expect everyone to be p***ed off by the opponent's tactics. Why? We didn't try to kick them off the park so he's got fuck all to complain about.
-
"We played 70% of the game in the opponent's half and we tried 10 times to score a goal. They didn't try to make anything against us. Who won today? Newcastle, because they came here to draw with us." - Scolari. Tell you what Phil, tell Roman to give us an open chequebook and level the playing field somewhat, until then fuck off.
-
His punching was superb second half. He maybe doesn't do that often enough but one thing you can say is that he never comes and flaps or half clears. If he comes, he gets it.
-
Didn't see the first half hour (couldn't bring myself to watch) but from what I saw (plus a couple of highlights at half time), the entire back five was outstanding. If they could do that every week we'd be laughing because we'll always score goals.
-
Get in, fantastic point. :)
-
What the fuck's the commentator on about? Cole is blatantly offside.
-
Just seen it. Dear me.

Ability? -
This whole idea of extra points for this and that ignores the main reasons why footballing entertainment is not what it was. Unbelievably short sighted.

Potential relegation if he does shit though. We're going down as it stands.
