So because Owen missed a chance, that gives the manager the right to basically give up on the game and not try and change anything? For the last 15, Fulham were in cruise control and we let them be.

There's an interview on nufcTV from a few weeks ago where he's a right happy chappy (genuinely).

Pretty accurate other than I don't agree that it's always been the same, he was very clinical with both feet in his younger days but he hasn't been for a while now. One of my favourite Owen goals is his curl past Barthez at Anfield. Fucking brilliant finish.
-
Don't forget it wasn't just Guthrie and Charlie on the bench, it was Geremi too - a player who it would have made sense to bring on with Owen given that Geremi sets the majority of his goals up. Overall, I thought JFK's performance at Fulham was absolutely shambolic.

One of the most bizarre managerial performances at NUFC for many a year, up against some pretty fucking stiff competition there obviously. 2-1 down, Jonas off and Guthrie, N'Zogbia and Geremi are all sat on the bench, not even warming up. Absolutely fucking unbelievable. Doesn't have to be tactical genius, even if it's just a Robson-esque triple sub, CHANGE SOMETHING.

Absolutely bizarre not to have Bassong feature today as replacement for Taylor.

Dyer by a hundred million miles, give or take.

Have a look on www.soccerbase.com mate. That's been the major downfall for me, no question. He's spent £70m (fuck net) on a side that's good enough for Premiership survival. They won't improve on that whilst he's there as far as i'm concerned. I had a giggle at this in midweek. http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,13320_4448571,00.html

We're hitting form while some other teams around us are hitting the wall. We must take advantage. -
Mackems. West Ham are sinking fast like, a win for us tomorrow would be massive.

Fantastic game that, only marred by Rafael sending my clean sheet up in smoke.

Alan Oliver always gets me in the mood too. Phwoar, not half. -
Let's say there was an incident and Barton did say something - the worst that even the fucking Sun could come up with is that he said "big lips" but that won't matter now - you can add racist to his list of character traits that will never be forgotten. Big lips? Is this what we've come to in this country ffs?

End of last season. Fulham, Spurs, Reading. -
If we carry on winning with the same team then there's no reason for him to come back in. If we don't, then he'll rightly be brought back. Changing it and losing would be a bigger mistake than staying the same and losing. After the WBA game, I'd have had him back but after the Villa performance, we have no reason to change. Play like that again and we'll murder Fulham.
-
As far as Saturday goes, we shouldn't be changing anything.

This witch hunt is nothing short of disgraceful. Off the football pitch I'm no fan of Joey Barton but everyone deserves a second chance - there have been people much more in the public eye who've done far worse things than Barton. If he majorly steps out of line again then fair enough but having a news bulletin every time he puts a strong tackle in? Fuck off.
